The Scriptures tell us that Jesus had the Spirit without measure. Believers, ask yourselves, did you ever see him behave in this manner? Is there any record of him doing ANYTHING uncontrollably? The ONLY time you see anyone in the New Testament acting uncontrollably they were demon posessed. The Bible teaches that when we assemble, all things are to be done decently and in order, God is not the author of confusion. Do not base what you believe on experiences or feelings, but on the Bible alone!

i've seen the video he is referring to. It is definately demonic. I see them talking after the service and it's nothing but gibberish. I believe it started in the toronto airport church and now it's everywhere. I believe christians will be called to cast out these foul spirits in these last days. I attended a church this year with many burdens and stress, and was only one person out of several hundred in a service and started laughing. I had to sink in my chair and my wife was looking at me funny. This came in waves off and on, and my wife realized every time the guest speaker would say worship I would start laughing. It was an incredible and peacful experience and after the sermon felt light as a feather. The Holy spirit is moving and working among the body. Does it bear fruit?

I'm looking at all these comments. Note to the believers. How can one say they are washed in the blood of Jesus and speak in truth in scripture? The Spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus. I was raised in Baptist churches and taught against the gifts of the Spirit. I find it interesting how so man churches are working on there own, and not subject to His Spirit. If Christ is preached as one and only savior and much fruit and salvation is at hand- This is the work of the Holy Spirit.

Great sermon! It's so sad that some people seek 'signs and wonders' and miss the joy that comes from spending time with God in His presence expressing our praise and thanks to Him, and knowing Him more as we spend time in His Word.

@mrfellowship You've only given me partial scripture (half truths to stake your claim) so where in these verses does it say signs/wonders sets people free? What about the "other nine lepers" who were healed? were they set free? There body was healed but they weren't set free in spirit. Only one came back to give Jesus thanks and he was "made whole."

The "signs and wonders" in the church today are not the same as what Jesus and the apostles did. Todays are lying signs and mere illusions.

I Cor 14:33 And when people break out in laughter and disrupts someone teaching God's word - and worse yet - if they are giving an invitation to salvation that is rude and not of God.

Do not worry. there is nothing negative to be said about Carter Conlon. Don't waste your time trying to disprove him due to critics. There are always critics around.

Conlon is a mighty annointed man of God building the Kingdom truthfully with intergrity. Just listen to the desperation in his voice! Everything he says is true and is align with the Word of God.

I used every search engine available using all kinds of word play to find something that defames his character...once again, to no avail. Where do you get your facts? All my research did was verify that he is a man with integrity and an annointing from God almighty.

@mrfellowship There is a spiritual, joyful laughter but it does not come during a sermon on holiness as Pastor Conlin is referring to. You are taking too much out of context. You are referring to the second chapter of Acts, not the first, and they Apostles were speaking in the many languages of the people visiting Jerusalem for the feast of Pentecost. It says nothing about laughter. Laughter is good and he's not saying it isn't. The wrong response to a sermon on repentance is wrong though.

Why would Carter Conlon preach against prosperity when he himself is very prosperous he sells his books and cds for full retail price , Quiet Times music CD album $20.49, if he is against prosperity that would sell for alot less, that is an expensive cd.

Who does Carter Conlon think he is to tell all ministers on how to preach sunday mornings or any other time, if they want to ask Jesus for a Joyful laughter then so be it. But you are wrong Carter is against the whole ministry of Joyful Laughter

Listen to the message again he says if you participate in this you are into unholy activity ("as the laughter of a dirty joke") that is a sick thing for one christian to say to another. But he doesn't stop there = Love of money. he's wrong
