Cincy hadn't beaten the Steelers in CIncy in the last 8 games before this one.
Pittsburgh swept Cincy in 2007 with Palmer and split the series with palmer in 2006 and 2005.
In 05/06 both the road teams won.
In 04 Pitt swept Cincy with Palmer too but Palmer was young but Ben was a rookie.
As for the Detroit game, when you are the defending champs everyone brings their A game to beat the SB winner and that game was closer on the score board than on the field.

I was at the game. You should've seen all the Steelers fans after the game walking out of the stadium. I didn't see one Steeler fan looking ahead, just looking down to the ground as they were surrounded by WHO DEY!

Ward told Crocker "Same Old Bengals, Same Old Bengals, You All Are Sorry" but, Crocker after the game said "Its OK. Im sure they heard what I had to say when the clock struck zero."
