@MIKECNW Actually, Maria did at least one other besides this one. According to Muppet Wiki, she did the Fisherman/Farmer version, and another user cited her as doing the Crossing Guard/Waiter one as well.

But which did Gordon do?

I liked this arrangement, too. It dates back to at least Season 8, because Alaina Reed (Olivia) also did a version (veterinarian and taxi driver) using this arrangement when she joined Sesame Street that year and another one a season or two later (baby sitter and photographer). In the latter, Jim Henson played a young teenage babysitter trying to look after a rambunctious kid who kept running away!

@diesfaustus This is actually from season seven. Episode 0884, to be exact, which also featured the classic Fish in the Cowboy hat Ernie and Bert sketch.

Yes. Another classic version available for viewing. We're moving in the right direction, here. Here they used a slightly differement accompaniment and rhythm. Nice change.

One small observation though: the first half of the nurse's verse is basically the same as the second half of the doctor's.
