    Good to see this understory burn take place while the fuel load was light.

    The heavy stem count is bothersome, though. Burning should have started here 10-20 years ago. A good thinning should take place ASAP, in combination with future prescribed burns.

  • Prescribe burning is neccessary, however, it can greatly increase the non-native population and decrease the establishment of the native plants.
