One has to wonder why it is Japan can purchase "adequate" MRI machine for well under 10000 USD. Also why these 10+ million dollar full body systems less than 10 years old in the US go for under ~50000 USD. The entire time being charged in excess of 2000 USD for a scan and having to jump through months of paper work only to be turned down.
