  • molto bello!!

  • To Dark

  • @ AmarisGrey AMEN!!!!!

  • Yet respect, in the personnel I do not like the Tribal Dance, is not my style.

Fodder that deberia not to be called Belly Dance since that I finish use to identify the Eastern dance or of Arab origins. It seems me historically that the name of Belly Dance does not have to be used for this style of dance, and conceptually it does not correspond to the Raqs Sharqi.

  • It amazes me how negative some of the comments are about such an amazing dancer. Guess some people are too petty to see differences with acceptance. I am a big fan of Tribal Fusion Bellydancing myself. Hope to be able to perform it someday.

  • Does anybody knows if there's some kind of soundtrack for this?? U know for tribal and gothic belly dance

  • Can you people stop complaining about crap and enjoy a freakin video for once in your life..shit balls dude

  • This is one of the most amazing dancers that I have ever seen. I have been all over the world watching different dances and dancers. She is amazing.

  • 08/17/10

I dislike i only because it was filmed a bit too dark.

Why were the fire dancers there--Rachel you can hol your own.

  • This looks nice but it seems like a theft of Oriental belly dancing's intellectual property! even if you add some touches of your own to an existing dance technique, it does not make it your own.. it's nothing more than a minor addition to the original stuff. Good work, but quit giving names to what already exists. i.e. Oriental belly dancing.

  • @Dali84 Ouch. That seems pretty harsh coming from someone who probly couldn't choreograph their way out of a paper bag.

  • @Dali84 It's called Tribal fusion. It was born in the 70s. Google it.

  • LoL @ auroraborealis81 ... dont you just LOVE it when ill-educated make "rediculous" comments ?!? i dont recall seeing "traditional bellydancing" written ANYWHERE on this clip ... if tribal bellydancing didnt exist, i wonder what the hell FCBD is doing ... rachel brice is the creator of tribal FUSION bellydancing, and it was looked down upon at the start ... but so were a lot of widely common things today ... concepts dina and fifi brought out were also frowned upon but theyre legends now ...

  • looooove this music! and of course rachel is just simply and always so amazing :))

  • Nevermind...lol Thankyou for posting the video :-)

  • This is a BEAUTIFUL video.

  • Earliest written records of the sacred temple dance of & for women only, was back during the Sumerian era, over 6,000 years ago! That is the 1st discovered written language, & the dance was done primarily in the temple of the Goddess Iyana. Her temples were found in the area currently as Iraq, but after the fall of Sumer, she was in India. Sum text describe the Gods as Serpent beings, hence the snake motions...So I agree with XvampireXkisses statement, & that Rachel has brought back the old!

  • WOW...YOU GUYS HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS. Maybe a class in dance history!

  • RACHEL! If you're out there, You're fans love you so much that any attempt to slander your name in cyber youtube land is met by an onslaught of defenses!

  • @tinashriller I second that emotion!

Rachel is a good friend to me, and so warming. I would defend her and her crew with my life!

  • one thing i dont like...

i love goth and tribal fusion. but osmetimes it is SO DARK you can barely see them. i wish they used a blacklight or something

  • I agree. I saw one where they only used a strobe light, and you couldn't even see half the moves. It was really annoying.

  • are you serious? TRIBAL BELLY DANCE IS FROM AMERICA ..ignorant people.

she does not do turkish or arab style etc etc.

she is a tribal fusion belly dancer. TRIBAL FUSION AGAIN IS FROM AMERICA..CREATED IN AMERICA..not catching on by other countries. BEFORE YOUR GOING TO HATE, you should learn what your talking about.

but by your opinion...that would mean someone arab or indian is not allowed to dance to rap or hip hop?

you must be 12, you sound it.

  • Rachel is an AMAZING dancer. And BTW auroraborealis81, try looking up the Gawazi tribe - there is traditional bellydance based on them. =) (as one example)

  • religious variants, such as Jewish and Catholic. There are even depictments of bellydancing in the bible, during celebrations of God. Saying that a person who is not a particular race or religion is not qualified to perform certain dances is not only untrue, but racist. Art and Dance do not recognize limitations based on race or religion; humans do.

People who comment on videos like this with the sole purpose of tearing them down need to do more research before trying to discredit them.

  • That was beautiful. XD

  • I'd like to point out a few things: A: Bellydancing is the oldest form of dance and entertainment in the world. There is no way to discern in which country it originated as there is records of it in every country on earth, with the exception of severely cold-climated regions. Saying that it originated in Egypt or the Middle East is speculation, not fact.

B: There are many styles and variations of Bellydance, including American, European, and Native American styles, as well as -continued-

  • Rachel is a wanna be nothing! She is the BEST in tribal style - which is a fusion of all styles of all the 'tribes', Arabic, African, etc.! Look it up, learn about it, before you diss it!

  • foroughtab if you dont know what she's dancing dont even bother commenting stupid things on her or any other bellydancer...oh geez i feel sorry for you..oh wait i dont, theres no cure for stupidity..specialy for you...

  • sorry, but why an arab wannabe ???? Do you even know what type of dancer she is??? It's called american tribal and tribal fusion, she never wanted to be an arabic type of belly dancer

  • she's better than them anyway

  • They should give it a different name. This is not belly dancing. This is something else. I don't think it is ritious to you use the word tribal when in fact there is no sucn thing as a "tribal belly dance" in the middle east. So exactly what tribe are we reffering to? This is rediculous.

  • Hi - the use of tribal is a strange carry over from American Tribal Style (ATS) Bellydance - where the tribal refers to the fact it's performed improvised as a sychronised group or "tribe" in the sense of a social group sharing a kinship (in the loosest defn) - ATS is fusionary in itself with middle easern dance being the base with stylings of Classical Indian and Flamenco. The costuming reflects this and was initially copied when fusion dancers returned the look ATS to a solo format. x

  • @blanka0blondie You know this as a fact? Seriously, how well do you "know" her?

  • she is a true arab wannabe poor her

  • Pathetic troll. You should sit on your hands to keep your ignorance from seeping through your keyboard and onto the web where people have to look at it. It's truly inconsiderate.

1- There's nothing wrong with admiring another culture and exploring it in the first place. 2- If you knew anything, you'd know she's not a 'wanna be' Arab.

A never-was-and-never-gonna-be has no room to be speaking, in any case.

  • you are an idiot huh........ you realy should get your info before you start talking about the person who intro tribal FUSION bellydance. poor you for being an idiot.

  • hahahaha you must learn a little about tribal fusion before embarrass yourself like this... poor you

  • No this is not a traditional middle eastern dance. She made up her own thing and she stole the term "belly dancing". Also added tribal, when there is no such thing as a tribal belly dance. That is just disrespect to her own art. It makes it look fake sound fake, and certainly in my opinion it is a disturbed imitation of middle eastern belly dancing. You see, my opinion might have been different if she hadn't wrongfully named her strange but differnt style of dancing.

  • im farely sure she did not come up with the term tribal fusion. do some research

  • You are soooo jealous!!!! xD

  • Um, auroraborealis81 , you obviously haven't seen Rachel Brice if you think that. She didn't "steal" the term belly dancing. If anything should be called belly dancing it should be tribal fusion. You actually use your belly instead of just amateur hip movements. And Rachel is one of the most, if not THEE most graceful and snakelike dancers I've ever encountered. Try checking out her newer videos before you judge her. And research belly dance, because YOU obviously don't know the art.

  • @XVampireXKissesXX Gould thoughts there. I really like Tribal Fusion, however it is slightly over the top to call tribal Fusion THEE BELLY DANCE...It is true that oriental dance developed first and to refer to it as amateurish hipmovements is pretty ignorant (because their not). Apart from that in tribal fusion there are many arm movements etc. aswell, whereas oriental dance is more focused on the hips and the belly. And there are lots of tribal fusion dancers who barely use their tummy at all.

  • belly dancing in America has developed it's own style, as it has in Egypt, Morroco, etc... "tribal belly dance" is a beautiful development ; we dancers can be very proud of what we have contributed....Rachel is one of the very best....

  • Wrongfully named?? The people that created American Tribal Style Bellydance named it whatever the hell they wanted to. Because they CREATED it! If u don't like the name then u create a completely new and origional style of dance and U can name it whatever the hell U want. until then do us all a favor and keep your professional opinion to yourself.

  • true arab wanna be? poor her?
