i finally figured it out they changed the name of the song from depression to we coudn't tell. its about the 20's and 30's depression time. when alot of poor people could barely tell the times bad because they so poor. i still love the song man whatever they call it.

I think the Lost and Found did this song many years ago too. Fits lonesome river band perfectly.

Sadly the mandolinist, Butch Baldassari (sp?) passed a few days ago after a long bout with an inoperable brain tumor. What a loss.
