  • I'm not as impressed with this stuff, all they do is take polygons and make them fly around, the soldier is still just a "shell" meaning there aren't any polygons for his bones, organs and blood.

    First off all, let me just say that I totally see your point!

    But when that's said, I need to point out that most of these renders are all tests (which sounds like a lame excuse), and are usually posted on related forums and such. It's all a part of an artists progress:)

  • @Jeggis89 But you just use "Volume" instead "surface" in the object position node. So it's not a big deal, when you get the animation done so you mus to go for solid volume.

  • @Scizyr : Are the internal organs really important here???........ i don´t see the point.... if i model, rig texture and skin a character, i NEVER model its internal organs..... Maybe its just just lazy me.... ..... but in CGI YOU JUST WORK on what its gonna be visible ... if the effect involves the organs..... if they will show up in the shot, THEN i will model and animate them.

    Basically every 3D mesh is just a shell made of just poligons.... and that´s the way we all work.

  • particle flow comes with 3d studio max. you have to have 3d studio max in order to get particle flow. just hit 6 when u open up max, and that will take u to particle flow.

  • Yeah!! could you send me a tutorial on how to breathe becauses I can't work it out for myself. Honestly!! Some people spend a lot of time and effort into working out how to do something, so are they really just going to tell someone how to do the exact same thing. Somethings you need to work out for yourself.

    This is really easy to do. "Position object", "age test" "Force" and add wind or an attractor object...

  • Harsh but fair I think. You insinuate file-sharing on a very public site. You ask for help without even googling for a tutorial yourself. Why should they spend their time writing a tutorial for you, when such a tutorial already exists but you have been too lazy to find it.
