  • how long does it need to be submerged in the solution for maximum results?

  • I recover the Copper from Solution through the process of Cementing it by placing a steel rod in my waste solution bucket. The Copper adheres to the Steel, thus removing it from solution. The solution is filtered to recover the Copper dust, then the solution is neutralized with Sodium Hydroxide (lye) to precipitate out any remaining metals, (Which are also filtered) and convert the acid into a table salt and water solution which can then can be disposed of down the drain or toilet.

  • If i have gold scrap you can refine it for me but only if you get a percentage

  • @Techbeeats That is correct. I don't refine for free.

  • HI NICE VID WONDERING IS THAT 24 CARROT...

  • @morgas28 Pretty Darn close to .999 (24Kt.) Thanks for the compliment.

  • how much can you get from ie 1 kg of scrap, or 1 pound of scrap?

  • @86Ivar 1kg = 45.000 dollars

  • @juna2509 Reasonably close, depending on the grade of material.

  • @86Ivar Approximately 1 gram of Gold per lb of scrap for Fingers and Ram Cards, sometimes less, grades of material vary. All bets are off when it comes to Green Fiber Processors. They aren't very good material, definitely low grade.

  • @86Ivar Depending on the feedstock (Material Processed) my recovery is around 1 gram per lb of scrap.

  • where do you dump, everything else apart gold?

  • CAN WE SELL THAT GOLD???

  • @cOpEkInG100 Yes, it can be sold.

  • so then the preoxcide desolves everything but the gold then

  • @natureboy121600 It dissolves all the base metals, leaving the Gold behind as foils, and the Silver as a fine white powder that will be recovered with the foils when the solution is filtered. Palladium will be recovered as a precipitate along with the silver. Further refining will be necessary to separate them, otherwise they can be melted together to form a dore bead of Gold, Silver, and Palladium.

  • I was hoping you could help me out here Rick because your video seems to show alot of what i have as far as the pins and CPU's. I have been collecting E-Scrap for 6 months or so and we decided to melt all of our pins down. We sent our nugget of gold once it was completely melted and in one peice to a jewelry and they gave us a test back saying it had contained no gold or valuable metals. Could they have been wrong? if you can contact me ASAP. Thanks.

  • @lovetospoog117 Chances are that the Gold has been alloyed down so much that it can't be detected by the "Touch Stone, Needle and Acid" method of testing. You aren't the first person to ever make the mistake of melting plated material together and think that you could easily sell it. By doing what you you just did, you made it far more complex to refine with much higher cost, and far less payout to you as a result.

  • where can u git Hydrochloric acid

  • @TheQuinn1996 The paint and concrete section of most Hardware Stores.

  • On the 3rd picture of the slideshow, what are the plate things in the red bag off.... T.V., Computer????

  • @Forbidaxe Old Telecom Patch Panels I was told.

  • Thats not even real gold.. its worth like a dollar.

  • @lovok123 You are so wrong, lol.

  • Is the mixture 50% Hydrochloric acid and 50% Hydrogen peroxide ?

  • @muddog5000 Anywhere close to a 50/50 mix will work fine with a bubbler system.

  • whats the ratio of acid to peroxide

  • @zileex Anywhere close to a 50/50 mix will work fine with a bubbler system.

  • Hi

I was wondering if I can put slot connectors "fingers" in HCl? Will I get the gold foils that way, or I need to use acid peroxide?

    Thanks

  • @AlexanderTomich You will need to add Hydrogen peroxide if you want it to work in a reasonable amount of time. HCL alone would work, but will be exceptionally slow.

  • what is the solution u used

  • @qwerty343ify Hydrochloric acid and Hydrogen peroxide.

  • @qwerty343ify Anywhere close to a 50/50 mix of 34% Hydrochloric Acid (Muriatic Acid) and 3% Hydrogen Peroxide will work fine with a bubbler system to dissolve the base metals and leave the Gold behind as foils that can be recovered from the solution by filtering it.

  • crushing method is need for this gold plated?

  • @mrbooomful No, crushing isn't needed. An Acid/Peroxide or Sulfuric Striping Cell is needed in order to recover the Gold Plate as Foils in the AP tank, or as a Fine Black Sediment in the Sulfuric Cell.

  • Thanks Rick. I've got lots of e-scrap and a secluded place that's well ventilated! I should be set up to start this next week.

  • @bakmann74 Rock on, I wish you all the best, and hope that you have good results, let me know.

  • @ProspectorRick

How much Hydrochloric ? to Hydrogen Peroxide?

    Thank You

    12hobohobo

  • @12hobohobo Anywhere close to a 50/50 mix will work fine with a bubbler system.

  • damn man..thats alot of gold.

  • What kind of filter do you use?

  • @bakmann74 I use paper filters for an electric perk coffee maker.

  • help how to process please sir

  • @Mr71seventyone1 What's your question? What problem are you having?

  • at 1 minute in is that 16 ounces or grams cause thats like 20 grand in ur pocket...or on ur scale

  • @felix200100 Ounces, ... it's plated scrap that has to be processed in order to recover the gold content.

  • What about filled scrap?

  • @TRUTHringsTRUE Filled material is excellent scrap. I'd process Gold Fill all day if was available to me.

  • @ProspectorRick Lets say you take a standard cheap flip phone that would come free with a basic cell phone plan. I know it would be a vague estimation, but how much would the gold in that single cell phone be worth? $0.25? $0.50?

  • @batmessiah You're within the correct range. Phones without the batteries are worth more through me as scrap than the Gold in them is worth. I can get $4.00 a lb for cell phones without the batteries, with shipping pre-paid by the buyer. The Gold yield is low in most cell phones.

  • How much is the fee about

  • @kenny48326 My fee is 50% of the recovery for processing plated scrap.

  • your wasting good computer parts that are worth more in a working computer than the Gold Value , If you had damaged parts I could see it - :( QC

  • @Quaaludedude714 Those parts only have value as working components if someone is willing to buy them, and pay more than they are worth for the precious metal content. That isn't very likely, especially if you, me, or anyone else had an abundance of such parts and materials.

  • hi thanks 4 giving me advice i have done gold process but some time there is in AR copper is dissolved how can i remove copper from AR pieeeezzz tell me

  • @umer03324724781 Copper can not be removed before the gold. Precipitate the gold first, then recover the Copper from the AR by cementing it from solution by placing a steel bar within the AR. Cementing usually takes around two weeks to complete, depending on the amount of copper in solution.

  • ask Rick how many people have died from using this mix after blowing themselves up. Right now about 40 people a year loose their lives due to explosive compounds that are formed.

  • @MasterCharles69 No one is going to blow themselves up with AR, or the Acid/Peroxide method. Creating an explosive liquid, or precipitate is a little more complex than that. I understand because I do know how to make explosive compounds. If you were to mix chemicals together not knowing what the reactions will be, then yes, you run the risk of creating a deadly gas, or an explosive compound, but highly unlikely with the processes being discussed here.

  • @MasterCharles69 So2, (Sulfur Dioxide) formed from using SMB in Auric Chloride, or AR is pretty much the worst threat in this process, and that can be overcome by precipitating the gold outdoors, preferably with a slight wind. Aside from that, Nitric and nitrous oxide gasses are created by dissolving metals in AR, as well as Nitric Acid, and can be done outdoors as well. Don't breath fumes, and keep solutions off your skin so that you don't poison yourself, and you'll be just fine.

  • who can you sell the gold to ?

  • @brsild Jewelers are an option, aside from that, possibly "Precious Metals of Arizona", or one of those "Cash for Gold" rip off artists. (They never pay anywhere close to it's market value.) Aside from those options, I do know a well known refiner who can refine it, sell it, and pay you 90% of spot for what it's worth at the time of the sale. I'll hook you up with him for a 5% referral fee.

  • can the gold be sold nd if so to who?

  • Would anyone here be interested in buying a DVD, PDF, or Written instructions on how to refine the type of scrap in my videos?

Would anyone here be interested in buying a completed, ready to use AP tank with instructions on how to use it, if I were to make such items available?

  • @ProspectorRick Yes i would interested in a DVD Brndbrn9.

  • @Brndbrn9 The disk is about ready. All that I have left to do is film filtering the precipitate from the Acid-Clorox method, and the fine black sediment from the Sulfuric Striping Cell. Currently, I'm asking $85 a copy, without consulting, and $250 a copy with 3 months of unlimited consulting by phone and e-mail.

  • i dissolve all the metal in nitric acid what should i have to do coz i enter all the foils in to AR and solution become green

  • @umer03324724781 If you put those foils in AR, then boil it down 2/3 of it's volume, then add HCL to the start volume, boil down 2/3 again, repeat process again. After last boil down, add hcl or distilled water to equal the start volume, and add Sodium Metabilsulfite to the Noxxed AR to precipitate the gold as a fine brown powder that can be filtered from the solution. It may take up to 12 hours for the gold to precipitate from solution, and settle out.

  • 4 oz of gold plated scrap per litter/pint of Nitric Acid would still be filterable to recover the foils,

if you were to approach this subject from that angle.

  • hi can you tell me what is the acid method which you used for your self

  • @umer03324724781 I prefer Hydrochloric Acid and Hydrogen Peroxide for my process.

Nitric Acid is quick and brutal about dissolving the base metals, and leaving the gold as foils that can be filtered from the solution. If using Nitric Acid, it will become difficult to filter the solution if it has an abundance of dissolved Copper or other base metals within it, let alone the cost of the Nitric to do this.

Nitric is best saved and used for dissolving base metals from within "Gold Fill" items.

  • i like the videos sir but other matels mixed with gold i mean aquaregia gold is precipitated then na2s2o5 is added to precipitate then what about other matels help me out please sir

  • @Mr71seventyone1 After dissolving gold in AR, boil down solution to 1/3 it's volume then add HCL to original starting volume of liquid. do this 3 times, then precipitate the gold with SMB, let set overnight, and filter to recover the gold precipitate, which will be brown in color. The copper and other metals can be dropped from solution by cementing them. Do this by placing a piece of steel in the solution. Cementing usually takes around two weeks to recover the dissolved copper & base metals.

  • yes it's good gold plate but without proper chemicals and tools removing it from the metals is NOT worthy for single persons ! Large industrial places DO this and pull in Billions a year in profits because they get all the old modems and monitors and everyother eloctronic device that has gold in them and just seperate the gold silver and copper and aluminum and resell it to manufactures !

  • @senseblogger Your comment shows just how little you know about refining scrap for it's precious metal content. With a simple 1 gallon tank, I can process an abundance of gold plated material, and do it cheaply enough to make a profit, with ease.

  • many questions are being asked about this topic. thanx for the info...

  • @traveln3 You're welcome. Questions are welcome, and appreciated. Sorry for being slow to reply.

  • @GrownupsThinkUrDumb You're welcome, and I look forward to hearing from you. If you have that much high grade scrap available, you're one one lucky person. I wish that I did. May God Bless you and Protect you as well.

  • @GrownupsThinkUrDumb If you dissolve that gold in AR, I hope that you are familiar with the process of Noxing the solution, and precipitating the gold from within it. If you're familiar with the GRF, all the info that you need is available there. I don't have space here to reply, short of a private message, email, or phone call. I don't mind explaining what I know. Here's my phone # 1-541-367-4169 ask for Rick. I'm Richard36 on the Gold Refining Forum, a.k.a Rick. "The Rock Man".

  • @GrownupsThinkUrDumb Use the flame of the torch to stir the molten gold a few times, turn off the torch, then count to 5 and remove the gold bead with tweezers or forceps, and quench it in cold water for 5 seconds. The gold will not be .9999, 24 kt pure, but will be in a marketable form. I do have a contact that would buy it at 90% of spot, after refining it. If you want pure gold to hold on to, I am willing to refine it for a 5% percentage of the refined product.

  • @GrownupsThinkUrDumb If you melt those foils, and that 10 kt jewelry together in a ladle, the gold will weld itself to the inside of it. You need a melting dish, also called a scorification dish. Action Mining sells them for around $3.00 each. A 3 inch dish is what you want. Heat the dish with a propane, map gas, or acetylene torch until it quits making a creaking sound, then add 1/2 teaspoon of borax, heat the borax so that it spreads out coating the dish, then add the foils, and melt in it.
