he's coming towards you not to attack you but to give himself more room should he need to spread his wings.. just be patient.. you will be rewarded with a lovely friend.
the only way to have a bird is to raise it from when its born, bottle feed it, and what your doing is teasing the bird with your hand, try more direct approach, put your hand straight on, let him nibble on your finger, it wont hurt, hes to small, but it will show him no matter how much he bites, you wont back down, your the boss
@SkidOutaSampton You have obviously never handled or even seen an Indian Ringneck in person. They can deliver a pretty nasty bite, and if they really want to, can send you to the hospital for stitches.
Dogs and Parrots - looks like you made a good friend, Ringnecks are a joy to have around :)
A strong recommendation to anyone using "clicker training" is that you should always reward the animal immediately following the sound of the "clicker." This is also known as Positive Reinforcement. Otherwise the animal will have no association with the clicker if you don't let them know what their doing is rewarded. The bird here would respond much better if you attempted to give him a favorite food or treat after touching him and clicking.
@MrPoppagergio you are not suposed to try and feed a parrot when it isnt completely comfortable with your hands! You could use food rewards later on but at this stage there is no need to stress him out with your hands in front of his beak as he will not be inerested in eating out of your hand any way. As you can see in last few minutes of this video the bird is not ready for it! Mine was the same and it took me a while to hand feed him, Patience is the key!
you need to make more videos it was helpful i just got a yellow ringneck and he is 3 month old and he is the same way i will get a clicker and try but show more i would like to see how far you got with him and by the way your bird looks cool

I have thought about trying this method with him but all he does is bite if he perches on a stick that i am holding.
Everything is very hard with Leo and i wanna make him feel comfy with me and my home but i just have no idea how....:(
