  • Every man gotta right to decide his own destiny, And in this judgement there is no partiality. So arm in arms, with arms, we'll fight this little struggle, 'Cause that's the only way we can overcome our little trouble.

  • Why dont these get played more often?? Dont people get bored with the Stir It Ups and the redemption songs??? They are great songs but "Rat Race", "Zimbabwe", "Survival"??? EPIC tracks man!!!

  • Too powerfull Bob is a God's gift for our world

  • drs jackson! u suck bradah!

  • Phisical fighting is not the only form of fighting there are, speaking against something you dont believe in, is also fighting for your rights. his fighting is singing, and nothing else. U dig, Jah Bless

  • viva marley

  • mugabe is a racist tyrant. Marley would slap his face to see how he has betrayed the revolution with sleaze and gansterism.

  • i love you from mozambique

  • HE MEANS FIGH AS IN RESIST MATERIALISM AND NOT LISTENING TO THE LAW IF ITS SOMETHING DENYING UR RIGHTS LIKE BACK IN THE 50'S ROSA PARSK WAS A FIGHTER BECAUSE SHE REFUSED TO GIVE UP HER SEAT ON THAT BUS TO A WHITE MAN =) DrsJacksonn

  • and uptill now an inhabitan in zimbawe dont "gotta right to decide his own destiny" not at least due to "more internal power struggle" or human nature respectivly

what a pity that some wise man die young

  • Survival - one of my favourite albums of all time, it has to be listened to from beginning to end. All the songs have a strong political undertone, very similar to Steel Pulse's Tribute To The Martyrs, another of my favorites.

  • He says 'arm in arms with arms'. Seems pretty clear to me. This whole album is more charged than anything else he's ever done. But the music was incredible too. You see the music and recording becoming more sophisticaed. Who knows where he might have taken reggae, had he lived.

  • @DrsJacksonn he doesn't

  • @Kaktusreggae yes he does , "fight for our rights " rasta mannn =P

  • @thomaspm002 yes but not with violence

  • @thomaspm002 are you retarded!!!!!!!!!!!! what else would fight fo our rifghts meann if ur a black man ud kno

  • @thomaspm002 a true rasta man never dependes on violence to claim justice !

  • @thomaspm002 i think hes trying to say people need to take a stand with the voice it cant be silenced if we all stand up for are rights :)

  • @Kaktusreggae yeah he does, but the english did it before so its just right to take back whats yours... But to be true, look whats happening now, the leaders take and take and let there own people die... Looks like afrika isnt going to unite, i think its a never ending story

  • @DrsJacksonn how d'you work that one out?

  • @DrsJacksonn Bob had never promoted violence. Songs in which you hear Bob saying fight means to stand up and don't let anyone govern you or your country that is foreign to it, or simply "stand up for your right". It also means to verbally fight, not in a arguing sense, but the power of truth can overrule any false remark.

  • Irie, but I didn't hear him mention 'mashing up' or 'arm in arms' in Rebel music or Stand up Jamrock.

  • @DrsJacksonn I actually believe 'arm in arms' means to come together, sorta like a hug. Come together and together we'll all succeed and surpass any oppression. 'Mashing up' I believe means to destroy all their wickedness and propoganda that they(babylon) had brought upon the people. All those lies, etc. Bob will always be a man of peace. Bob will live forever. Respect and much blessings to you DrsJacksonn. Rastafari.

  • @DrsJacksonn WHO ARE YOU? YOU HAVE TO STUDY MORE ABOUT AFRICAN PAIN, THEN YOU WI.LL UNDERSTAND THAT BOB WAS JUST PROMOTING FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDON.

    PEACE

  • @DrsJacksonn are u serioussss this song is for the people of zimbabwe and its full of peace listen to the song

  • @DrsJacksonn It's not violence if you are fighting for your rights. It is the reaction to violence and opresson why people go to such extremes in the fight for equality. If my foreparents were passive, I'd be born a slave and therefore I'm thankful for their struggles.

  • @DrsJacksonn "Promotes" violence? I'd have looked at your question differently if you said he condoned or accepted the possibility of using violence. Promote has the connotation of stirring up trouble where there is none. He is talking about an oppressed people coming together to demand what rightfully belongs to them. Anyways, one way or the other people have to stand up and fight for their rights.

  • @DrsJacksonn The Heathen From exodus. The lyric that he says which involves violence would be "Rise up fallen fighters, Rise and take your stance agian cause he fights and runs away lives to fight another day. The whole song is about Guerrilla warfare.

  • @DrsJacksonn what kind of braindead sob would automatically associate fighting for ones rights with violence??? ever heard of peaceful protest and criticism?

  • eternamente em minha vida, robert nesta marley !!! mestre !!!

  • mash it!

  • i love Bob Marley <3 rastafari for ever

  • we gonna fight for our right......
