Nah I dont go to one sight and assume everything is right, Go anywhere on the net that can tell you anything about "Le manoir du diable" and they all say it starts off with a Bat turning into a Demon thing and it brews a Cauldron and things jump out of it until some Dude comes out with a Crucifix and makes the Demon thing go away or something.

"The Devil's Castle" was the first "horror" film or Cinema Fantastique by the the inventor of special effects Georges Melies. The first movie ever to be projected publicly also took place in Paris France in 1895 by the Lumiere Brothers. Thomas Edison followed in the US the following year. Without these people there would be no Youtube, let alone Star Wars or any of the Computer wizardry we take for granted today.

I find it truly amazing that this is the first horror film ever produced. Not only did it define the new genre, but it was also discovered by accident. Originally, it was meant to amuse and not to frighten. Almost the best and most amazing findings of the world are unintentional.
