I am a member of the Green party. I support the actions of Greenpeace and the sea sheppards. However i do not support the activists in their views on the seal hunt. My family has lived on the seal hunt for years and not only made ends meat but also feed a large family of people for the winter. however the commercialization of the industry is wrong and both parties do not have all the facts to come to a resonable agreement.

My family has lived on the seal hunt for years and not only made ends meat but also feed a large family of people for the winter. however the commercialization of the industry is wrong and both parties do not have all the facts to come to a resonable agreement.

Aprende español porque yo no he dicho que la vida de un animal este por encima que la de un ser humano. Aunque si que es cierto que hay humanos que no valen nada y que el mundo estaria mejor sin ellos.
En cuanto a los marineros, mi abuelo fue marinero toda su vida, un buen marinero que se preocupaba por la vida marina, por la destruccion de las playas, un marinero de verdad. No como ellos... No hace falta matar ballenas ni delfines. Cualquier amante del mar no llevaria a cabo tal acción.

No puedes entender quien es la vida de un marinero ni lo que se puede sentir en una comunidad a donde se fue perdida muchas vidas por la mar. Y cuando algun como Watson viene en nuestras islas Francesas y digas que la vida de un marinero no vale mas que la vida de un animal, es una provocacion.

Ha ha ha wel we don't use seals for meat, the only reason they are hunted os for their fur. Last time I checked, we fished Cod for food, and yes their is a slight problem if we are over-fishing them don't you think??? Seal a cash cow for sss? In your dreams mate. If you don't think there is something wrong with attacking juvenile seals with crowbars (A tool I believe made for opening boxes)just for their fur, then I suggest you look at the seal carnage footage again and tell me how we benefit

You seem to have alot to say.But did you just say that the seal is not on the endangered list?Do your research.There are different species of seal,and the Caribbean Monk Seal just went extinct. Why? hmmm..let me guess..oh yeah, it was HUMANS! Humans hunted them to extinction.But do we learn from this? No,we just find another species, like the SHARK to hunt to extinction. And we do it because we need seal fur or shark fins to survive? No.We do it out of greed. And you call the SSS ecoterrorists??

By hacking up those mooring lines of the Farley Mowat with an axe and ripped the gangplank from the ship, setting it dangerously adrift into the harbor could cause risking irreparable damage.This is NOT how I want to pay for it.

I work in the health care taking care of the
elderly people of my country,so if those fishersman are upset because of some remarks Capt. Watson made,they could have solved it differently..this is no way to show the world, how adult the fishersman is.
A lot of people will see how you deal with respect for other ones opion.

This video clearly shows the mentality of violence that these people in NE Canada have. If you kill animals for a living you are far more likely to attack a human. Who is in the right here? The people trying to save lives or these fishermen/seal pup killers?

You have it all wrong, this island is part of France - but the solidarity of the sea trumps nationality. If SSS is going to trivialize the life of canadian men of the sea, don't expect a favorable outlook from the people of St Pierre.

miquelon - the only reason the SSS is classified as an eco-terrorist group is because they piss certain governments off. Governments that do each other favors. The US and Canada have the greatest mutual trade of any two nations in the world. SSS is a threat to that trade, so they get labeled by governments as Terrorists. Yeah, "Trade-terrorists". And good for Captain Watson if he raises millions of dollars for this cause, he deserves it. It should show you the only person on your side is you.

The SSS advocates and fights for all marine species. They just can't be everywhere at once. And Captain Watson started out protecting seals, and has remained faithful to his cause. "Eco-terrorist? WE are the eco-terrorists! Have you seen how they kill whales and seals and slice the fins of of sharks? Come on.You're gonna compare someone who risks his life everyday to protect our oceans, which are in serious trouble right now, a terrorist?Every nation on earth should fund a fleet to HELP the SSS.
