  • WHOA so lucky

  • lol the lady was nice to give you a mini tour, even though you were not allowed! :D

  • why are westerners so fascinated to try and unveil secrets of nintendo head quarters. its just a company, its just an office, get over it.

  • Needless to say you should not have done this. You were very lucky it was a nice lady to greet you and that she understood you were interested in company's history.

Japan really is a special place. Anywhere else in the world and things probably wouldn't go so smoothly.

  • why are japanese people so secret hmm...

  • @BombBakers Every company does that. And worst case scenario that woman might get fired if the higher ups knew this.

  • Wow this is like the rarest glimps into the world of nintendo. I love it!!! Never take this video off. I wish I could see the whole building though

  • Wow, i envy you so much :D

  • @SuperFlashDriver It means foreign people.

  • so before ww2 everyone in japan spoke backwards?

  • Cool :D

  • Knock-Knock knocking on heavens door, ayh ayh yeah yeah yeaah.

  • oh yea well its not backwards!

    so there nintendo

  • japanese don't say '' gaijin''

    japanese say '' gaikokujin''

    and

    japanese love gaikokujin.

I'm japanese. and I like gaikokujin.

and my friend and my family and around people love american,italy,french,etc...

person who say '' f*ck gaijin'' is not japanese.

  • @minney019 What Gaikokujin? is it a bowl of noodles?

  • uǝʞoɹq sı pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ʎɯ ʞuıɥʇ ı

  • @ps3master72 How do you wrote it Upside-down?

  • Not all Japanese say such terrible things

  • kool!!!!!

  • fuck you, if you are in US, you know staffs may call police. you are just lucky. However, you didnt understand that it is rude even japan. thats surprised. also you took a video in Old Nintendo building. why do that? without making a appointment. if you like japan, you have to know what is the rules in japan.

  • @2010sasaki sooooooo you're mad???

  • you are one lucky S.O.B!!! Id give my left nut to get inside that place.

Inst that were Mr. gameboy ( Gunpei Yokoi) is barred just down those stairs??

  • This guy's Japanese is really awful.

  • @CHURAUMI

No matter how kind Japanese are, you have lack of common sense.Do you allow to enter the office from back door without appointment and permission in your country?I think you don't in your country either Japan. The most old in japan, who can't speak English didn't complain of your f**king criminal acts. We, young Japanese can speak it, so from now on you will be arrested. Ok, gaijin?

  • @yoshii517

  • i want to learn japanese! how long does it take to learn??

  • @trumpetplayer231 i heard that takes 10 years =|

  • "Or viceversa :F"

  • Wao Y is nintendo so secretive they never let us see anything in there buildings. Its like they have a big secret O_o!!!!

  • @01miguel0122

Because they don;t want anyone to copy any products thhat are under development like the "3DS" How would you like it came up with an idea and someoe saw and copied it stole the potential income from you?

  • @01miguel0122

    they have it :p

  • great video, I hope nobody got in trouble, the only purpose of the video was to know more about nintendo history, not to harm anyone, nintendo should make an official documental about his history (sorry for my bad english, saludos from México)

  • A bit late I suppose to be commenting on this. Darn though, I guess they'll have the door locked now. And here I was hoping to visit =P

  • What's with the bike @ 4:47?

  • You got lucky there, but I'd suggest being a little more respectful ^^;;

  • You dare sneak into Nintendo's layer you must die.......! lol

  • This lady forgive the intrusion.

I am also not going to condemn this guy's conduct.

But the trespass is generally inexcusable.

    Please observe the law.

Please be polite and modest while staying in Japan.

  • @tkm99879 In his defense, there was no "Do Not Trespass" sign (at least not in the video) in Japanese or English. Which I'm surprised at actually, obsessed as the Japanese seem to be around here with their 立入禁止 signs.

  • your going to work there in japan?

  • I think he got away being a foreigner and acting all ignorant so the lady wasn't suspicious. You really scored well there !!! .. hehe

  • People are saying that the woman was basically okay with him being there, because she didn't outright kick him out. However, as far as I understand it, Japanese woman or Japanese people in general have trouble saying no. She probably did not want him to be there, but was just trying to be nice about having him leave, which he didn't pick up on.

  • Awesome use of your Gaijin Smash.

  • I like this video :) I understand it was perhaps inappropriate for him to enter private property and to film, but it's a fascinating place, and no harm was ultimately done. The woman in the building was very gracious and kind despite having an intruder inadvertently surprise her.

  • YO GO BOY!!!!!!

  • maby front door only can be opened from inside.

  • hahaha siiik

    but...

why would the woman say, the only way in is through the back door, when the front door was actualy unlocked all along...

    ether way great vid :P

  • hahaha siiik

tho why would the woman say its the only way in (through the back) when the front door wasnt even locked...

  • the best video on youtube

  • Dude your so lucky that Lady didn't call the Police or Security!

  • Ha! That's incredible! You just sneaked right in the back door, and she just kind of laughed about it. Man, she was nice, and eager to show you the heritage around you. Great stuff!

  • Wow - you guys need to lighten up just a bit. He didn't disgrace his reputation in Japan nor did he do anything so terrible.

He made his presence known right away, didn't lie, and asked permission (even though she didn't grant it, she sure didn't kick him out very fast)

I know you think Japan is this perfect mannered, holier-than-thou country but I'm sure while he was just giving us some really cool history about Nintendo and being very kind about it, someone was probably doing far worse!

  • he tresspassed onto private property with a camera and kept filming after being told he can't come in and can't film.

he didn't discrace his reputation but he gave all foreigners a bad name and broke a few laws.

Crazy that you got in! I wouldn't dare doing a thing like that ^^

  • Fucking white Chinese

  • i know this was rude of him, but i think it was sort of cool he got inside, and i'll bet he doesn't give a crap that he did. well, actualy he probably did slightly ^_^

  • 1:40 was really cheesy xD

  • Even if door is open, you are not welcomed.

Don't you know manner or moderation?

    fig038 says "Fuck you foreiner"

If you can't obey Japanese manner, I might say the same words.

    >>fig038

  • Wow amazing - you got inside! It's like a piece of untouched history.

  • Try this with Area 51. Please.

I'm sure there's a back door open somewhere!

    :)

  • First, sorry for my terrible English. But, please undertand nuances.

I think you make much more Japanese people who use the word "gaijin".

    you are so rude.

when you go forein countries, you have to know the country's rule, mood, manner.

you ruinned your country's reputation in Japan.

I can't understand why you can criticize other people's attitude.

you must have a sense of shame.

And,In fact, So many Japanese don't know the difference between "gaijin"and"gaikokujin".

    they don't hate you.

  • Actually, your English is 90% better then the people on Yolutube. And I do agree with you :D

  • Lol, she say's you can't look around yet she's giving you a mini tour! XD

  • @SE7ENZERO yes, she was too kind, maybe she was a tourist guide, and later she got another job at nintendo's first building, she really enjoyed telling the history of the hanafuda cards and some info about the building, I hope she didn't got in trouble for giving the mini tour (sorry for my bad english I'm from México)

  • @SE7ENZERO Polite to the last even to evil foreign intruders. :D

  • @SE7ENZERO Lol Japanese people are to nice to help it! "^.^"

  • Amazing and I wish I was there, also...

    "The Myspace-inspired camera angles" :P

  • so wait, Japan actually changed the way they read and wrote from left-right to right-left after the war??

that must have been the biggest pain in the arse ever to make that change. why did they bother?

  • Actually traditionally Chinese characters (which Japanese uses) are written right to left for signs, names of companies. But other than that, they were (and still are) written from top to bottom, right to left. Magazines and books use that style or the more common Western left to right format. It's just a matter of preference really. Trying to emulate the traditional top to bottom, right to left format is a bit difficult on websites so no one bothers using it in the IT sector.

  • HaHa, she is like "Get out...Om Oh check these out" Awesome!!!

  • only a gaijin, and only in japan, and only with a xenophobic old ignorant old lady could anyone get away with that. LoL - love it.

  • hahaha thats sooo funny, im surprised she didnt call the cops lol

  • aussie = criminals

  • =) :→○

  • amazing

  • First person (non-official) in nintendo HQ...Lucky...

  • Wow, surelly they fired that women (I wish not, she's lovely).

  • When I head to Japan I gotta visit that place and/or find someone who knows how to play games with Hanafuda(is that even taught anymore?)

  • Club Nintendo gives away hanafuda cards with directions on how to play =D

  • oh man couldn't stop laughing at the end XD

  • It's like a secret Army base lol . But eh with all the company thief these day no wonder they have lot of security.

  • oh yeah

u were one of my subs!!

    cool

  • I am game of Nintendo is favorite Jpn.

Coming to Japan by the travel is good.

But、 thing that invades the building without permission is not a good thing.

The person who had you said that it would make Japanese playing cards.(hanahuda)

Do you know the thing that it was a company where Nintendo makes cards in the beginning?

I think the place that I want to see to want you to visit after it studies a little more.

If it knows the place,I think that the attitude is also different.

  • A message coming from a guy in Mexico that deeply shares a big respect and admiration for Japan concerning all japanese posting here:

Be more careful of what you say and accuse of. He didn't do anything that harmed anyone else. Beacause in a few minutes of reading what you guys here posted (japanese guys) my apreciation and admiration for the country diminished exponentially. I would've never know Japan has such xenophobic and racist thoughts in this day and age.

    Just stop this nonesense.

  • Internet anonymity= anyone can be a racist without repercussions. Fact is, Japan is now one of the most pro-America nations out there. They just LOVE Americans. In a lot of other countries, including England, France, and plenty of other European nations, Americans are stereotypically regarded as pigs (which I must agree with to some extent.)

But the Japanese are generally one of the most respectful and least xenophobic nations out there today, a big change from the pre-WW2 Japan.

  • Actually, I think the Japanese are justified in their indignation.

Firstly, he really is an illegal trespasser, even if he has no ill intentions. Secondly, picture the reverse scenario. An Asian boy who wanders into a private property in America like that would be shot without a second thought and the shooter acquitted easily.

Don't believe me? Google for Yoshihiro Hattori.

  • Haha! Amazing! What's more, you were apparently there just a month before I stopped outside the old Nintendo building!

If anyone is going to Kyoto and wants to see this place, look up Johnny Hillwalker Kyoto tours. He takes about 20 people on a tour of the backstreets of Kyoto every morning, including this place.

  • That was really really weird. That old lady was haunting that place.

  • Nintendo also used to own a line of love hotels. (hotels where guys could bring girls so that they can have sex in one of the rooms)

  • screenshot or it didn't happen

  • doesn't need a screenshot to be true. Just Google it, everyone knows about it.

  • It's funny how she says you can't look around or take pictures but she gives you like a mini tour...

  • What is the adres for the building?

and why don´t they make it a museum?! Japan should be proud over Nintendo and take it as a compliment that people want to come and from across the globe to look at an old house.

  • all I can say is WOW

  • Thats crazy. First time anyone had gotten in.

I wonder what that old lady was doing there.

  • Maybe she also barged in. Some old nintendo fangirl who has now made the place her home.

    :O

  • WOW! THAT WAS WELL BARVE! THANK YOU, it takes people like u to post the first video of an amazing thing!. that was amazing, ithink it aint been posted cuz no 1 had been brave anoth to go inside!

  • If that was anywhere else in the world you would have either been shot, arrested or beaten. What a polite old lady.

  • epic

  • wow! i cant believe you got inside!

  • I remember when this was featured --- anyone else remember?

  • Wow super cool!

  • wow she was really nice she sound mad when she found out u were there

  • awesome

  • Youre fantastic, my dream is to work for nintendo. anyway i think actually youre not a little well-manered against this old woman:P sorry.

  • I went to all three buildings earlier today. We were 15 feet from the entrance of the newest one before the guard stopped us.

We tried to get in that same backdoor to the old one, but this time, there were two people in there. Apparently a man at a desk and quite possibly that exact same woman. Everyone else was thrilled that we got so far, but I was sad I didn't get as far as Governor Watts.

  • neentendo?!?

  • The woman was really kind! Like most japanese! She should have kicked your ass! hehe

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing.

  • what was your reaction to the woman?

  • well, I understand what you wanna say, but if you don't write comments in English, most of people who came here don't understand what you want to say.

  • Baramun, I don't understand how your comment relates to the video in any way. No one said anything about 外人.

  • So I saw this at nicovideo and I was like "uh oh international internet argument!"

  • Seriously. Any idea why this has become Ground Zero for Japanese looking to debate racism?

  • I agree.

  • awesome!

  • GREAT work! Thanks for posting this.

  • That's pretty brave of you to go into the building. How long have you been learning Japanese?

Nice meeting you at the Colbert Report. Are you planning on going back to Japan? Would you recommend jet?

  • Try saying that in real life you piece of shit. I bet you just sit at home all day on your computer eating your cheapass ramen reading manga and wasting your life away on 2chan.

  • What the fuck r u saying?

  • Why don't you learn Japanese and find out yourself.

  • Is that really what people think of Japan? LOL, that's so wrong.

  • No I dont think that about Japan...In fact is a great country with really intelligent people and thechnology.

  • Why did you upload this video? you have no respect for her?

  • BTW- this video is up on Nicovideo if you feel like looking for it there. The general consensus there is negative; hard to blame them.

  • My English is bad sorry... I want say "GAIJIN" is not discrimination. I say GAIJIN or "GAIKOKUJIN". I think It is naturally. Sometimes I say "GAIJIN SAN". Maybe you understund mean about "SAN". If you think discrimination about GAIJIN it is nervous. By the way, This video is interesting. and I thought Nintendo's office woman is polite. If you come to Japan again please polite foreign visiter. *Strange English sorry much.
  • mr. watts, you're the awesomest sub i've had :D hahaha i'm not kidding

chynna from silver creek (you subbed for my algebra 2 class today) ^_^

  • "Gaijin have a tendency to do horrible things like trespassing?" Well now, that's kind of racist. I could just as easily say "Japs have a tendency to do horrible things like perform vivisections on innocent Chinese civilians" or "Japanese soldiers tend to rape entire cities like Nanjin, and still deny it years later," or "Japs don't like banning racial discrimination, decades after every other country has done so." I could say those things, but I won't.

  • Also, HE IS THE BEST SUB I'VE EVER HAD!

  • Troy is a homo. -Alex =)

  • haha he substituted for my english class.

  • Ha ha, you're my substitute teacher for math today! :)

  • He was my English Sub today!

    Supposedly he snuck in..

  • He subbed at Andrew Hill, either way, he pwns as a sub.

  • wtf is this? At least in Europe this kind of stupid joke never be allowed. If you guys try to sneak in through an unlocked back door you'll be arrested. One good thing is this guy wasn't European but American.

  • thats sooo awesome, she was really nice it seemed if u werent even allowed in there, u were probally thankful for that haha. ...if no on goes there then y was she in there?? lives there or something, if so y haha??

  • you are right, GAIJIN means "person from other countries" not bad meaning.

  • LOL u did the job man... well done..

  • ATTENTION!

Hey you were our substitute teacher today your awsome!
