What a beautiful concept, except that one peoples cultural view has coloured these people, not Islam. I see chinamen, who no longer look like chinamen(culturally). Can't a man still be muslim, while remaining true to his Chinese heritage. Are my beard and garbs meant to be spiritual, or cultural. Suppose I don't want no beard and throbes, but still want the religion. I mean, what agenda is really being pushed here? Islam for cultural colonization?

the thobe is a sunnah, you dont have to wear it. Its the exact same for most garbs. But the beard is a contraversial one. Beard is the identity of a muslim. Scholars have different opinion regarding this issue.
