hinge is tricky, because it doesn't take the rotation from ANY bone, which may not be what you want in a flexible rig. It might be a good idea to create a "master" bone, and give the head a copy rotation constraint with offset from the master bone.

they are actually called armatures at first, once you make one then they get called bones. idk why the name changes.
