@britdemo I do respect his dad. Jimmy was a good driver. But it was his son Colin who would be the most succesful family member of the mcrae family when he won 25 wrc wins plus the 1995 Wrc championship. That was the reason why I said "Colin was the Jim Clark of Rallying".

Plus and Minus is effectively "on" or "off" the accelerator..i.e. the corner opens or closes for the driver...

@3rdvincetheman it depends on the driver's style of pacenotes. it could mean what you said, or high RPM's in the gear (left 5 minus= left turn, fifth gear, low rpm) or the same way with plus meaning high RPM (seft explanatory)
