  • @MrAnaon

A lot of countries speak English?

  • why no Chinese?

  • why no spanish? :/

  • Of course the guy from USA is fat...

  • 19 people can't hear the people sing.

  • I honestly enjoyed each and every one of the singers in this international event. I usually watch one youtube vid and move on. I think I've watched this 20 times already...and still counting! Definitely a favorite to share with your friends!

  • I wish I were a man so that I could sing like any of these great men.

  • Rob Guest <3 Also absolutely loved the Irish, the Czech, and the Norwegian. I can't stop listening to this!

  • I am greatly impressed by the men who have to sing twice as fast to get the words in in their own language. Their tongues have to FLY!

  • Nothing sends chills up your spine like hearing a single man from every country singing "Tomorrow well discover what our god in heaven has in store." in complete unison.

  • Want all lyrics!

  • Something about the nations of the world coming together to appreciate a work of art makes me feel like there is hope for humanity.

  • @AdamsSeed Art is about the only thing that holds hope for humanity any more. Shame it's the first thing to go in the school curriculum...

  • Where the fuck is PRC....whole bunch of cowards!!!!!

  • I geeked out when I noticed Takeshi Kaga was in the Japanese version of this beautiful musical. I first saw him in the original subbed Iron Chef (ah, my childhood).

  • You just can´t choose the best. They´re all unique!

  • This is beautiful it's like loads of countries united through 1 song

  • they should add china in

  • The description of this video is in Spanish, yet no hay personas que canta en español. Qué pena.

  • @Jauhara Desafortunadamente, no estoy seguro si fue un Valjean a cantar en 1995.

  • Kinda disappointed that the Irish guy sung his line in English. :\

  • you can almost understand what they are saying in your language.

  • Wytęż słuch to śpiewa lud Co nie chce żyć w niewoli znów Van al die mensen die verdommen om nog langer slaaf te zijn When the beating of your heart echoes the beating of a drum, there is a life about to start when tomorrow comes. Wenn du kämpfst mit ganzer Kraft Hat bald ein Ende alle Not Some will fall and some will live, Will you stand up and take your chance? The blood of the martyrs will water the mellows of France!
  • Here are the lyrics:

Do you hear the people sing,

Singing a song of angry men?

It is the music of a people

who will not be slave again.

When the beating of your heart

echoes the beating of a drum,

there is a life about to start when tomorrow comes.

  • Not a bad lookin' one amoung the bunch!! :) Songs

  • Not a bad lookin' one amoung the bunch!! :) Songs

  • god how I love Tommy Körberg!

  • 1:45 ...isn't that Al Borland (played by Richard Karn) from Home Improvement fame? I thought I saw Tim "The Toolman" Taylor being shot by a French guy earlier in the play.

  • your not being clever if you announce the Japanese guy is from iron chef, we read the comments. we know he is.

  • where is the north korea and china

  • Por qué no Español? Why not in Spanish??? :(

  • @valeria56 Les Miserables hadn't been translated into Spanish yet by 1995. The first Spanish-language versions weren't performed until 2000, and since then, there have been at least four Spanish-language productions (Mexico, Argentina, and twice in Spain.)

  • That was a great day for all of us.

  • And so begins at this time in history the rise of Napoleon still bad news for the frogs Nelson and Wellington put an end to all that bollocks ? ops sorry forgot the US Marines .Delta Force and the big Red 1 and the United States Air force sorry if I forgot any one from the U.S , still I am sure Hollywood when they make the remake of Trafalgar and Waterloo will put all that right

  • Holy shit, Kaga.

    Mind = Blown.

  • @ CombeBoy Wheezy would die of happiness

  • 18 people probably think justin bieber is a better singer than these Valjeans

  • I really believe Ireland should have sang in Gaelic

  • Vikdal from hungary a shorty :P great voice however

  • WHERE WAS NEW ZEALAND!!!!WAAAH

  • people who put there thumbs down obviously cant hear the people sing..

  • Canada is awesome :D

  • Where exactly can you find 'full' versions of the songs, with ones such as Jeff Lyton(Ireland), or Norway, etc? Specially Ireland.

  • So happy to see Kurt Ravn as the Danish Valjean - and Øystein Wiik as the Norwegian. Stig Rossen has played Valjean in both London and Copenhagen, and both Rossen and Wiik have played the part of Tordenskjold in the musical about the Dano-Norwegian sailor/captain of that nickname - but Ravn was the original Danish Valjean.

  • @UnnaWildt Oystein Wiik played Valjean in London, too, and in Vienna. My all time favourite. :)

  • what a suprise - we have two Polish singers - Jerzy Jeszke, "German" is from Poland, as far as I know :)

  • Is it just me or is the volume, especially at the beginning, rather quiet?

  • Ireland was AWESOME!!

  • Ireland, Denmark, France, Austria, Norway, Czech Republic and Iceland where my favorite.

  • watching this was epic, it captured the essence of the song for me

    That and one word

    Hetalia

  • Luv the face of the Japanese Jean when he finishes singing :P

  • Very intriguing with so many nationalities singing this great finale song of that endearing Les Miserables I saw in New York back in 1986. eijiro odagiri

  • Finally a good quality version but its so quiet i can't hear :(

  • For me there will only ever be ONE Jean Valjean. Not a fan of Michael Burgess - the Irish lines ALWAYS give me chills. LOVE you Colm. You've got an amazing and unique instrument!

  • At the end of his verse, the Japanese guy looks like he suddenly remembered something. "Did I leave the TV on at home?"

  • @doubleaction0080 LOL Yes!!

  • comical

  • That is absolutely stunning, it is just... beautiful<3

  • dude is Japan the chairman from Iron Chef?!?!?!

  • @vval8807 Yes, it is. It is Takeshi Kaga.

  • @mvjis lol that guy is epic. Iron Chef guy, Light's Dad in Death Note and sings a line from this? Guy should be knighted.

  • @vval8807 he is!! i'm japanese but didn't kno he sang!

  • @vval8807 yes it is! :-) He's an actor in Japan.

  • Comment removed

  • @vval8807 Yes, he is!

  • @vval8807 ummmmmmmm idk

  • @vval8807 Yes he is! Fun to see him in this role :D

  • @vval8807 Not only that, he voices the father of Light Yagami in Death Note, as well as plays the role of the father in the live action.

  • Comment removed

  • @vval8807 Sometimes the faces just run together....

  • french needed much more!! Only one line for french!? Unfair D:!!

But they were all good! I love the danish one, since Im danish myself :) I loved the power of the irish singer!

  • holy shit that's beautiful! :*)

  • Why does everything have to be compared to justin bieber? This cannot be compared to any pop artist.

  • ireland yay

  • I have heard this(would I have defended it so much if I hadn't?) and a quick fix for low volume is turning the speakers up. Would you kindly provide me with an example of these distortions? Also, what about my other comments? There are clearly people from the TAC if you ignore the multiple Jean Valjeans. Look.

  • Comment removed

  • Get this SHIT off of youtube. It's interfering with searches for actually good performances of Le miserable, like the TAC.

Plus, the audio quality is garbage. Please, kill yourself you worthless scum. This does NOT deserve to be online. Take it off.

  • @EinherjarServitor

Kindly shut the hell up. Some people like hearing this.

  • @darkstar062397 Pfah. Some people like hip hop. This is still incredibly inferior to TAC. And the Audio quality is shit. So No.

@Jezzar64 firstly, we're not on 4chan, so stop using short hand trolling language (you do know the scoring system implies you to be a troll as well, right?) Secondly, it's an opinion. Trolling =/= opinion. Get yourself a dictionary, goddamn it.

  • @EinherjarServitor If you do not appriciate this video, why are you even writing a comment. Very few people who watch this, being as they certainly don't know you, care about your opinion. No need to make is publicly known.

  • @darkstar062397 If you'd read my first comment, I was commenting because, as I said, it affects searches for songs from the TAC. THAT is why I was commenting. Not because I was attention whoring, you fucking moron.

You are projecting so hard it's not even funny.

  • @EinherjarServitor This has cost you what, five minutes of your life, not counting the time to respond to comments, correct? You spent that on something that should have taken only a grimace, some annoyment, and about three minutes. Why?

P.S. This is actually from the TAC.

  • @darkstar062397 Nope. Firstly, you don't get to tell others, me or anyone, what is important in their lives and what they should or shouldn't do. That's one. Secondly, nope, this isn't from the TAC, as the only performer in it from the TAC is Valjean.

And EVEN THEN the Audio is still incredibly shitty. You pompous, know-it-all ass.

  • @EinherjarServitor This IS indeed from the TAC. Watch the end of it, listen and look at the people in the background, not the foreground.

Exactly what part of the audio is "shitty?"

  • @darkstar062397 The extremely low volume? The distortion? You haven't even listened to it, have you?

  • @EinherjarServitor

    0/10

    Fail Troll

  • BRAVO!!!!!

  • Never so many beards in one room before.

  • Japanese guy from original Iron Chef? AWESOME!

  • How does it sound in Arabic?

  • The Canadian guy was alright until he said the word "start". Then it got weird. And yes, I'm Canadian.

  • This version is so awesome. I just LOVE how they pass from one language to the next. Epic.

  • OMG, I have to say, Just saw the musical for the first time yesterday. I'm french and I can say, Vive la France cette chanson est magnifique. Fier de faire partie d'un si beau pays

  • SO COMPLETELY INSPIRATIONAL!! Wouldn't you love to hear all the oppressed people of the world sing this? Think of a chorus of African Americans, Israelies, Somalians - you get the picture. NOW THAT WOULD ROCK THE HOUSE.

  • Wow Canada, even in a musical your still a pussy.

  • Awesome performance! My favorites are the ones from Austria, Denmark and Ireland

  • ... Canada's kind of sucked. And I'm Canadian.

  • that irish guy was really into it

  • that irish guy was really into it

  • I am an American but I gotta say Austria won this one!

  • Denmark!

  • amazing

  • 16 people didn't hear the people sing.

  • i like the irish guy

  • I like the Japanese dude and the dude from the Nederlands. xD

  • AUSTRIA FTW!

  • OH my GOD! this is possibly the BEST thing ever! Why has no Anime geek out there done a Hetalia video to this?

    Wonderful video, thanks for uploading!

  • we GET IT, Ireland

  • With this many "angry men" from throughout the world it's amazing there isn't more good change. A wonderfully powerful arrangement of one of my favorite songs.

  • No hay un representante Español aqui??????????????

  • Ireland and Norway rocked this shit

  • The american man looks so intense when he sings!!! like his face is so tense, he looks hilarious!

  • 1000000 times BETTER and MANLYLIER than JB

  • Austia was my fav. :) but i love the sound of everybody! it's so different and it tickles my eardrums!

  • A clip of the Irish Jean Valjean singing Bring him home, The Les Miserables open air concert in Highlands park Chelmsford, Thirty two thousand people.

It was never released to the public untill now.

  • Im polish, not only were the lyrics appropriate for him but his voice was excellent.

  • Irish guy: 'Oh god the other english speakers are killing the performance, better jump in and save our reputation now'

  • Just found the irish guys vids type, Jeff Leyton Les miserables in concert bring him home. Jeff Leyton.

  • the Iceland singer was amazing!

  • It's incredible the strength of this song. Ireland, Austria, Canada, Norway and Australia were the best for me. But that's the magic of this song: there wasn't anyone that wasn't brilliant. Only one thing: Where are Italy and Spain????

  • @juanbonivento And Russia????

  • @b0n3z3z See my comment above. The show didn't exist in Russian at the time, and it apparently still hasn't been performed there yet.

  • @juanbonivento Canada is brilliant, right up to when he say's "Start" then his accent pops in to say hello and ruins it :P

  • @stromboli2007 I really liked very much Canada.....actually it was brilliant for me during all his performance. It had like a style, I don't really know....it was something :P

  • @juanbonivento I totally agree. I'm Danish and love his spot but Ireland fucking NAILED it!

  • @juanbonivento They probably couldn't get anybody from the country to represent at the concert.

  • @juanbonivento Italy and Spain didn't make a rendition of this play thats the reason they weren't included, though I really wanted to hear the way they would sing it.

  • @juanbonivento They're not represented here because Les Miserables hadn't been performed in those countries yet when this concert was performed in 1995. It wasn't until 2000 that the first Spanish-language versions appeared, and the show apparently still hasn't debuted in Italy (which is a shame, since this song would be killer in both Spanish and Italian!)

  • there're so many videos from 10th Anniversary Concert on youtube that seem to be a final of the concert that I can't figure out which one actually is the last :]

  • Ireland merks it

  • @scarletghoul excuse you, Colm Wilkinson, the ORIGINAL Jean Valjean was amazing, thank you very much.

  • the hungarian is a midget.....

  • It's the Iron Chef Chairman!

  • LOL The American is the fat one

  • Did anyone else happen to notice that the Japanese singer is the Chairman from the original Iron Chef?? Awesome!

  • @arlahna Not just that, Takeshi Kaga did the voice of Gelardan (Lawrence III) in Pokemon the Movie 2000.
