I really like your vids. I love your info. I have been researching a lot on juices and raw because of you. But, and it is on your face too, when he starts comparing the vegetables to body parts. That's more than a little crazy. I am all about passion do not get me wrong. Border line crazy. Cannot wait to see what you teach me in 2012. All the best.
I've got the Omega Juicer off Dr Mercola's website and while it's expensive at 250 I love it because it comes apart and cleans up in like 20 seconds which is huge for me to keep doing it. The pulp goes into a cup and you just toss it in the trash or composter.
Hi Sean. How does this differ from fruit juice? Without the fibre in the food the sugars which exist in the vegetables are rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream. Yes there are vitamins, however if we are to maintain control of our hormonal balance and metabolism, should we not just eat the whole food? What are we leaving behind in the fibre that makes the whole food so nutritious? Look forward to your feedback. Cheers. :)
@KenMalmstrom Fruit is loaded with sugar, so yes fruit juice will definitly jack up your blood sugar. There is very little sugar in most vegetables. I use a carrot or 2 to slightly sweeten my juice. The rest is greens that have virtual zero sugar.
Can you please give us advice on what to look for in a really good juicer, at a reasonable price? Because the one you recommended is not available here in the U.K.
I dont know if Drew know's but the green part of the carrot is full of nutrients, i put mind in the blender or the juicer at all time, its way less waste. Its good stuff my friend and good video.
@Tenche I agree with your comment for the most part. Fiber is great, but we can only eat so much at a time. With juicing we can consume large amounts of vegetables without a massive stomach ache.
@Tenche He explained that. Juice minus the fiber requires almost no digestion. The nutrients go straight into your bloodstream. Some people save the fiber from juicing and use it in recipes.
@samherb1 That's presuming that your body can actually absorb all of those nutrients at once and that you shouldn't just save some for later in the day/another day. Correct?
@Tenche I try to juice about 8oz in the AM and 8oz in the PM. I make it fresh each time. Fresh juice oxidizes pretty quickly. You are right though, it probably would be ideal to drink a little bit all day, but it's not very practical.
Breville is the only way to go!
