  • Still better love story than twilight :)

  • The original Occupy movement

  • Ive got to have an anoying meeting thought of this hopefully there are no splitters.

  • I just discovered that John Cleese despises Charlie sheen. LEGEEEEEEEEENNDDD!!!!!!!

  • "don't you oppress me" best line ever!!!

  • Where is the video gonna be quoted?! In this conveniently placed box?!

  • did anyone else notice that blue lightning thing hit the guy on the left

  • @ArkhamsFunnest ..very good but I believe it was the holy ghost that came down on him..or...her, blessing the fact that transsexuals are all welcomed in heaven.

  • What's the point of fighting for his right to have babies, when he can't have babies?

  • "It's symbolic..."... /... "... symbolic of his struggle against reality"

  • Loretta!!

  • What I love about this scene is how much it mocks modern politics.

You've got the PFJ trying to establish a plan for achieving their goals, and they're being distracted and diverted by some idiot worrying about a non-issue... like "women's lib" or "gay rights" or "global warming".

    As Franklin said in "1776"...

"First things first, John. Independence; America. If we don't secure that, what difference will the rest make? "

  • @Hiraghm

I know this has got to be one of the best critiques of all the ultra-PC garbage that you see now a days lol.

  • @Jim1905 You're NOT allowed to critique PC for PCSake! You have to understand, you don't know what is correct. Ergo you need the 10 Commandments, to guide you to Enlightenment. Where everyman or woman and those who are Gender non specific and children and OAPs, will live in perfect harmony according to PC's wishes

  • @Hiraghm I'd argue the contrary. We are distracted by the anti-PC-thugs constant bitching and moaning about having to be civil to women and foreigners while there are much more important to worry about.

  • @megamarsvin - you mean as opposed to those PC thugs who protect and defend Islam, which promotes the abuse of women and foreigners?

  • @Hiraghm Hehe yeah those idiots who believe in actual freedom of belief and judging only individuals by their actions.. But that's as much I'm going to argue with you about this dumb nonsense on this awesome video clip. :)

  • Spoil Christmas for someone special

with this new book 'Life of Brian/Jesus' by the film's editor available only from Monty Python's 'deadparrotshop'.

"Great stuff" - Terry Gilliam. A mischievous journey of discovery" - Terry Jones. "My lawyers will be in touch" - Michael Palin.

  • this is great

  • "Don't you repress me!"

    Classic

  • symbolic of his struggle against reality, haha John Cleese is the man.

  • Stan sounds like judge Walker in his emotional plea for the government issuing gays marriage licenses. Nothing more pathetic than a symbolic struggle against reality.

  • I love how Loretta gets his feelings hurt.

And somehow I get the picture of migrating coconuts with this scene.

  • i want u all to call me Loretta. Its my right as a man

  • "Don't you oppress me!!"

  • man (or woman) and brother (or sister)

  • -It is symbolic of his fight against oppression

-symbolic of his fight against reality...

    LMAO

  • It looks like Eric Idle is trying not to laugh during the last exchange. This is my favorite dialogue in the whole movie.

  • I'm Christian and I'm not at all offended by this movie, much like many others. It just goes to show how many other "Christians" out there are too uptight and narrow-minded.

  • it's every man's right to have babys if he wants them :P <3 Monty Python <3

  • I love John Cleese's voice !! :D

  • Look at Michael Palins face when Loretta says she wants to have babies, priceless scene! hehe

  • This is the best movie scene with john cleese EVER!

  • every mans right to be a woman lol!

  • from now i wat you all to call me loretta its my right as a man

  • Monty python have the best political jokes.

  • Funny how all throughout the movie, people can extrapolate how "Monty Python accurately attacks the nonsensical dogma, hypocracy (etc, etc, blah, blah blah) of the Christians and the Christian churches -

    BUT -

When they just sit right down and openly mock the HS's, TV's & TS's .... no one points how briliiant THAT is ...

    Splitters ...

  • I think Christians tend to misinterpret Life of Brian. They feel it is an attack on their faith or beliefs, when that's not at all the case.

What the Pythons mock in LoB is the human response to religion, making stuff up as they go along and claiming it came from the Almighty himself, sometimes deliberately, sometimes out of ignorance. It mocks the Church and the rituals, not the faith itself.

And the same is true here. The Pythons would never truly mock homosexuality for obvious reasons.

  • Comment removed

  • @megamarsvin Christians have no reason to feel attacked. After all, the only occasion Jesus appears is using a minimal, respectful manner at the beginning of the film (not counting baby Jesus).

  • @megamarsvin Are you kidding? This movie is a direct attack on religion, specifically Christianity. The movie mocks the entire premise of the story of Jesus. If that's not an attack directly on the faith itself I don't know what is.

  • @alvincay100

You say that like it's a bad thing...

    .

  • @SteevK69 Nope. I made not comment on whether its good or bad, just that anyone who thinks the movie is not mocking religion is ignoring reality.

  • @alvincay100

It's not atttacking religion, it's mocking the followers.

  • @VonKickyourass How do you separate the two? Without followers there is no such thing as a religion. A religion without followers... hmmmm

  • @alvincay100

I'm not seperating the two. I can dislike a Christian without disliking Christianity. Most of the movie it mocks those who are like sheep, who don't think for themselves.

  • @VonKickyourass They are mocking a specific category of "those who are like sheep": Christians. All Christians. According to the pythons, the whole concept of a Messiah is absurd and anyone who believes in one is a sheep. If you are a Christian, you are a sheep.

  • @alvincay100 it's not an attack,..they're just making fun out of it, ;)

  • "Where was I?"

    " I believe you finished"

    "Oh...right"

  • I love this scene! "It's symbolic of his struggle against reality!"

  • hahahahaha i fucking love monty python

  • "It is symbolic of his struggle against reality."

I love these guys so hard.

  • "But why do you want to be Loreatta Stan?" Just love the way she say that. "what have the Romans ever done for us?" hehe

  • He can stil have babies. Just find a woman. ( I didn't mean that as a rape joke.)

  • "What's the point?" XD Gosh my friend and I when we first saw this film could not stop laughing

  • You're oppressing me!

  • @altosax1st Now we see the violence inherent in the system!!!

  • Cleese pretty much has the best Fuck Off in history

  • @hanspohai...Yep..nobody fucks off better than Cleese...wait...that didn't come out right...well, you know what I mean.

  • "Don't you oppress me!"

  • BRILLIANT!! LOVE THIS!!

  • She is soooooo Welsh.....l,ol

  • where's the fetus gonna gestate!?! you gonna keep it in a box!?!?!? lol fuckin' amazing

  • ha ha just like the Labour Party!

  • Bermerke dass es kein deutsches Humör gibt. Oh, das lustigten Ding was in Deutschland geschehen ist war in 1945 :D

  • Of course there is german humor and the german love british humor nearly more than you do.and what happened in 1945 is not funny at all you damn old bastard!

  • i want to be a woman... it's my right as a man.

    hahaha the logic is brilliant!

    so fuckin funny.

    absolutely love this movie

  • "Where is the fetus going to gestate!? You going to keep it in a box!?"

  • one of my favorite parts of the movie!

Why would you want to be Loretta Stan?

I want to have babies! XD

  • I think you'd finished... HAHAHAHA!

  • you gonna keep it in a box?
