Rally America does not have qualifiers. Novices are limited to certain types of vehicles, however. Check out the rally america website for all the rules and regulations. Also, look for NASA rallies near you. They can be another good place to get experience. It's helpful to do TSD rallies and Rallycrosses if you can before getting out on stage to get a feel for your car and how rallies are run. Thanks for asking. See you out there!
it kind of depends on how hard you push or if you have any problems or how often you like to change tires, etc. i think we're running about $2000+ an event at this point, depending on how much we mess up the car during it. i don't know where you are in the U.S., but if you have a lot of local rallies, a yearly budget can get pretty pricey if you try them all. feel free to email us and we can chat more: our website has a contact page. good luck out there!
not sure about the power these days, we just got a new injection system, and a new engine, actually. a rough guess would be 180 or so. the old set up ran about 165 and was very similar to this one, however.
how do you get into the rally america series? do you have to be good enough to quallify? or just be able to pay your way in? please respond :)

Nice job driving!!! I'm building a stock 1981 rabbit rally... any advice? What do you think a yearly budget... nothing fancy would run?
