i used to own one of them i evolve to evolution ;] but what i can tell from experience mods with out ecu tune r pointless. if u dont have a tuner to upgrade your ecu, get the tactrix cable, download software from openecu.org, and reflash your ecu.

sounds nice I'll be putting one of these in my 10' Lancer Sportback GTS Touring, also a little bit of personal advice, be careful with those TEIN lowering springs, they're just a cheap way to lower your car, and if by some chance you hit a decent bump in the road, it sounds and feels like someone fired off a gun. I had the TEIN Springs on my 2002 Eclipse and over the 4 years I owned her, those springs screwed a lot of stuff up. But like I say to each his own, just be careful with them.

lol my 08 lancer mod r rrm short ram tusdo n1 exhaust rrrm crank shaft pulley and rrm rpm timing module im pushing about 165 and my car hits 145 and still wants to go. 09 gts sucks

DO NOT USE IT IN RAIN, IT WILL COST YOU USD$2000, for rain season use the KaN stock filter, however the injen in dry weather its really good

i have a lancer 08, with the stock air filter, then i buy the injen its really nice and you can see the diference in performance, but quite expensive, i use it when its not rain season, for that i use the KaN stock filter replacement, why BECAUSE INJEN INTAKE SHOULD NOT BE USED IN RAIN WHEATER!!! BELIVE ME!!! dont take the risk, it can handle a small rain but certanly can get water into the engine, and you will have to replace at least the MAP and another sensor of shit for USD$2000

You would need to buy the new version that just came out that was made for the 2.4L 4B12 engine in the 09 GTS. The 08 engine is a 2.0L 4B11. If you put the 2.0L intake on a 2.4L engine, you'll be getting about a 2-3 hp gain max.

I installed the injen cold air intake about two weeks ago. It took me 2 hours. I did not remove the front bumper. I just turned my wheel to the inside of the car, unscrewed the plastic thing for the wheel well  and the splash gard beneath the car.

It was the first thing I ever installed on a car in my life...so I guess we can say that is it pretty simple.

Oh and by the way I do not have the transmission cooler to relocate, I am on a manual 5 speed GTS, not CVT.

thanks if i would have to guess maybe close to 170 and thats only accurate if the mods give the engine its full increase in horsepower. this car is gonna be a show car for me. i have rims and in a few weeks im getting tein s tech lowering springs so its coming together.

nice car dude..i have it too and same cold air intake..one thing pisses me off is that my car is probably the only one in the world with most damage..1: someone opened there door and hit my driver side passenger..2:some idiot rear ended me but not serious,just around the plate area with a chip or two..and 3: some ass wasnt looking while he was reversing when i was so that a couple bigger chips on the drivers rear bumper

it wont screw your warranty unless it is the direct cause of the problem and mitsu has to prove it was aswell

it shouldnt but looking at this CAI it seems pointless cause there are to many bends which restrict the airflow.

yea i know what you mean. i think it is whenever the car is under water or up to the top of the tires because the intake is very low to the ground

hmm, cool engine, but big mistake of u revving like that and then shutting off engine all of sudden. u will damage it, as ur leaving unburnt fuel in ur cams and pistons, therefore contaminating them far 2 quickly.

well the only reason i got this car was because the tranny went out on the other car i was driving. i wanted to get a 2 door civic si, but it was goin to cost me more a month that the lancer, and plus the evo is way more expensive. i wanted the evo, but it just didnt fit my budget. so since i couldnt afford the evo im modding my car a bit.
