This was the national anthem, there is no requirement that anyone salute or put their hand over their heart during the playing of the national anthem, you're thinking of the pledge of allegiance. The only requirement of an American during the playing of the anthem is to rise and remove their hats. And who is that singing? My Gods, she's no Muse I will tell you that. Sounds horrible. I'd feel too distraught to salute too with that voice around me.
