i have a problem getting them not to look at the card that i switched... say they initially have the ace, but when i switched it slow mo, i ask them if they know what the card is.. and they just look at it...

here's how i do it: after i switch slow-mo i say "so now I have your ace of spades, and you have my ace of clubs right? Now I want you to just hold the card as tightly as you can..." then proceed to switch the card in your hand with the deck.

My trick is to continue with the flow and don't give any pauses which might give them a chance to flip over the card.

I guess Blaine didn't do it all that well either, if this guy figured it out after only a few watches.

The goal of the video was to explain the trick, not to execute it perfectly for your amazement.

And somehow, I think everyone that pointed out errors in the execution of certan techniques are people familiar with those techniques.

The point is, if you know what to look for, you will see it. These tricks, no matter who perfroms them, only work on people that don't know what to look for.

It's called "Two card monte" by the way. And just a pice of advice - work on your multiple lifts 'cos you're making them too obvious. And if you put the final card on the bottom of the deck instead of 4th from the top it's easier to take it.

This trick is a bit harder than most tricks because it takes more acting than most of them, whereas most tricks are just a mechanism, this depends on you keeping the spectator distracted well enough to be focussed on the 2 cards in their hand instead of the card your switching in yours. It works great but just a bit harder to pull off than some others, especially harder to do it twice without people catching on.

if you are not very good at triple lifts then you can set it up ace queen ace on top, and throw the other queen on the bottom of the deck and just do a quick pull off the bottom for the last pull

Could you not just do a triple lift to to show them the first card and then once you have given them the top card do another triple lift. This would prevent you from having to swap the card mid trick right in front on the audience and still give you the same end result.

The trick is: The magician shows one queen of hearts to the spectator, who's going to hold that card. Than the magician says: I have the queen of diamonds and I'm going to switch them.

So the spectator thinks: I have the queen of diamonds or the queen of hearts. Than when the cards are reveiled it are 2 completely different cards (Ace of spades and Ace of clubs). That's the trick
