Sorry, all i read was the description, which said:

"how to use blackjacks, a source of theiving exp that can reach up to 158k exp per hour."

Technically as we've both agreed, blackjacking as a whole can reach up to 250k xp an hour.

Maybe you should specify in the description which type of NPC gives 158k xp an hour aswell as a section about menaphite thugs.

Don't get me wrong i'm not bashing your guide, it's a good guide lol, I just think you need to update the description to stop confusion.

if you play for 1 hour, the exp that you can get; and it's 158k, but the practical max is more around 150k because people will miss even at 99 thief

I'm 79 theft and I'm wondering should I do this all the way to 91 and THEN to pyramid plunder or just go to pyramid plunder?

Blackjacking is better experience until 91... but it's not a huge difference. I'd suggest blackjacking thugs until 81, then it's basically a wash, maybe 10k exp per hour more at thugs than plunder. Your choice though.

It's just a guess. Nailincoffin is my only members account, and I hadn't tried blackjacking without doing the feud. I suppose if you were a level 3 combat skiller, it might be worth it to find out, but if not, the feud isn't that hard. You have to kill a level 75 and a level 80 to finish it.

I honestly do not know whether or not you need to do the feud to use blackjacks, sorry.

i'm not sure. doing the fued isn't hard, and if you really don't want to do the fued, you could always try it out. I doubt you'd be able to though.

You can get up to 280k xp an hour useing this this method. It is the best method for 99 theiving until level 91, where pyramid plunder is comparable, but still not as fast. for the people who dont beleive me, go have a look at Zarfot's blackjacking video. He gets 27,980 theiving experience in 6 minutes. This calculates out to VERY close to 280k xp an hour.

#1: plunder is almost identical experience as blackjacking, and takes a lot less concentration. While you can get 280k exp an hour, and 1 mil exp in 4 hours, that means you'll have to focus intently for 4 hours straight.

#2: On bandits, it maxes at 158k per hour.

you have to do the blackjack portion of the rogue trader minigame in order for ali to sell blackjacks.

it doesn't matter if the blackjack is normal, offensive, or defensive. that only matters for combat, not thieving.

I was level 56 when i shot this. bandits max at ~184k thief exp per hour. menaphite thugs max at ~285k exp per hour, but that is really an impossible number, because you fail even at 99 thief. A good number to shoot for in mid 90s thieving is around 240-260k exp per hour. You never get 290k exp per hour.

at level 91 is a good time to start doing plunder, but until then, you can't get into the final room. and to be honest, blackjacking is a lot simpler, and you don't have to pay very close attention if you get into a rythm. a lot of people have used blackjacking to 99 thief. you only get about 10k-15k more exp per hour at which you use.
