qantas has probally the best safety record of any airlines ..i fly with them to the far east and know i am in safe hands..

They used to, in the last year or so they had a huge raft of incidents including the mid air explosion that took part of the fuselage off and the loss of power while approaching bangkok. I try my best to avoid Qantas!

The hot gases coming out of the combustor section turns the turbine which in turn drives the fwd fan and gives you the fwd thrust.

dunno what you've been smoking, but a cabin decomp and a gyro malfunction (the latter was not even in a 747 (A330)), is quite a long way from "crash".

i havent been smoking anything, but u certainly have taken some magic mushrooms. recently two 747 of qantas crashed during taxing at some airport. And a few months ago an emergency landing was made at philippines cause a qantas 747 had a collapse in its fuselage (almost a tragedy happened that would kill hundreds of people). So, take my advice, qantas sucks!
