He never once specifically said in his music that he rejected Jesus, but he did have his own opinion(as all people are entitled to). Ronnie liked Down and Pantera as said by his son. So show some respect. But I would partially have to agree with you on metal being melodic somewhat. But that depends on what your looking for.
