I just got 77 ford f100 custom. the color looks burnt orange with wide white stripes along body at the bottom. Does anyone know the official name of this color red or orange? It has a 390 big block with hooker Headers and glasspacks. Don't have it running yet, but will post somthing soon. thanks in advance for the color info.

Hey if you want to paint your truck for $50 google paint your car with Tremclad. It's like rustoleum paint and you thin it down and apply it with a foam roller and foam brushes. Canadian rednecks have been doing tremclad paintjobs for years.

I think my dad had to replace the one frame horn when a telephone pole jumped in front of his 74 f100- hed just rebuilt the 390.

He picked up a 75 full size ranger pickup for front end parts , and the hood from an old state pickup - so it had a bright yellow hood, he did actually buy a new drivers side fender since the rangers fender was rotted out.

I sorta miss those days of major tinkering like that- now im stuck doing that with lawntractors- LOL!

i just used a good comalong and a tree to straighten the frame on my old 67 f250 4x4 it worked pretty good it was wrecked the front end was shoved in to the cab but at least the fender wells just bolt on unlike the new stuff today i had it rebuilt in a day
