  • All the buildings are black from coal burning. It wasnt till the 80s that they began to clean them up.

    great, but i obviously meant it has no relations to bbc in the fact that there is no bbc symbols or introductions played and it is away from the bbc studio. I was hoping for a helpful answer but... well

  • @prvtdom This was not a BBC News item, there was not BBC Television News in 1949. However, there was the BBC Television Newsreel. The whole programme was film based, with reports of a non-news nature - news was still controlled by radio at Broadcasting House.
