All off the people that says Emery suck clearly didn't see him play much. When Emery was on Ottawa he was my favorite player making crazy glove saves that can possibly crack the top ten saves of the year. Ray Emery could end up been top 5 in save percentage this year with a great defense man like Pronger playing in front off him. If Ottawa don't make the play offs or go far in the play offs I will be cheering for the Flyers to win the cup.

With all due respect, that was Emery's best year, and he didn't stand out as spectacular in that playoffs. He completely choked in the cup finals and the Sens made it that far strictly for one reason, there 1st line. Alfredsson-Spezza-Heatley was the best line in hockey that year and they took down team after team in the first 3 rounds. I don't have alot of hate for the Flyers, but this isn't there year. There time will come in the near future.

I think Briere still has a few years left on his contract. They might be able to sign after this year. Hatcher retiring, the trade of Lupul and Sbisa, and the signing of a cheaper goalie left some leeway with the cap.

Except that now since they have such an AMAZING defenseman, they have a better shot at the stanley cup this year. The Flyers weren't lacking in offense, they were lacking in defense, and a HEAVY hitter like Pronger will fit in very well.
