  • Is no longer the record. Some guy set a new record at the Arnold classic. Lot of weight though. Congrats man.

  • record is now 1100

  • holy look at that bar bend!

  • Dude... I couldn't even roll that shit across the floor!

  • did not lock out.... red light

  • @DEND0HAV0C didnt look like he did, glad i wasnt the only one thinking that

  • Is it just me or do you not just wanna shoot all these motherfuckers in the head with an ak47...weird

  • didnt look like complete hip lockout.

  • wat do you incomplish with this sport ? is it really who can lift the moste weights?

  • @houdbaartot

yes. that's exactly it. it's quite the rush actually, especially the more and more weight you can lift. I doubt you'd understand. Not a lot of people do.

  • @houdbaartot Yes. but you can make that arguement about any sport. Like you could say this about basketball. "is it really just about putting a ball through the net?

  • Y is all the strongest guys r always fat shits :)

  • @jamie110896 hes only fat in the stomach ,other than that hes lean all over maybe other than face ,his huge muscles lif thte weights not fat ,hes fat cuz he eats a looot and doesnt work abs.learn about powerlifting bfore calling these guys fat SHITS.they might be fat but aint shits .

  • @ntjnssntjnss1 i would imagine he works more abs than any bodybuilder ever would. you need an intensely strong core to deadlift that much. bigger guts help in stabalization in a lot of these lifts, hence more weight moved, hence why a lot of elite powerlifters have them.

  • @jamie110896 i probably wouldnt put him over 18-20% bodyfat to be honest. he is just big. dave tate is a good example. at his heaviest, he was lie 300 lbs but 17,18% bodyfat

  • he did it terribly wrong. he used all back. bend ur knees and drop the hips a little

  • @bamfan101able GTFO of here. You must be trolling

  • @BJGally no not really

  • @bamfan101able You couldn't have made yourself look anymore like a newb. You did read the title right? There isn't a wrong way to lift 1000 lbs..think about it

  • @BJGally im a newb? what r u 10 yrs old.... and yes there is a wrong way. its bad for ur back to do it that way. read the other comments about how bad it is

  • @bamfan101able ya your just an idiot. try lifting half that

  • @maxman565 if i did id atleast do it the right way.... just saying

  • @bamfan101able lol, your telling the world record holder of the deadlift that he did it wrong? Get the fuck out you faggot.

  • its look so awfully

  • In case anyone was wondering, the song in the background is "Gimme the Prize" by the one and only Queen

  • I dont consider that a deadlift... He used all back

  • hmmm he could steal my car without forcing it open

  • its not anymore, benedikt hit a 1015, raw, and easy.

  • Comment removed

  • wow im wondering how the hell this is possible?!?!?!

  • how much kg is that

  • @Chrisjr09

Haha, what kind of juice was he on?

  • oooooooo Shiny Plates, me like them

  • nice dude, i hope we can see you in the Corn Husker's state game we love to have you for Powerlift! And we have a person pretty strong. 505Lbs. in 181 class.

  • its irrelevant he didnt lock out here, he went on to smoke 1008 lbs and easily lock it out (as well as smile for the cameras).

  • @Chrisjr09 bill did more with straps an shorter range of motion.

  • Very strong lift but didn't lock out. Judges must have got caught up in the moment.

  • An awesome pull but that wouldn't pass as a lift in any competition I've been to or seen.

  • he didnt even lock out..

  • easy

  • no straps as well!

  • @Nikon05 straps are for pussys

  • @ZBevis I know...

  • don't drop the weights in planet fitness :)

  • @rockbodyfitness or breath hard :P

  • I loved how at the beginning the barbell was simply bending!

  • by locking you transfer the stress to your bones instead of your muscles so the knee would probably jump out.... i think no one wants to be crippled because of such bullshit like "if you dont go all the way up it's not done right" oO

  • Imagine that guy at 6% body fat...

  • meh just the other day i lifted up my dog and shes fat

  • Mark Henry did very nearly the same weight....while still in highschool...at a drug tested meet...andy bolton is not one of my favorite lifters....very good deadlifter, but not truly the best as he likes to say.

  • why does he do an incomplete movement? correct technique for deadlift he should be leaning back alot more. is that generally accepted in powerlifting? i mean i would assume it is if andy bolton does it but im just curious

  • ok..so he can lift 1000+ pounds...but he still looks ugly and fat

  • @JoSt1981 Oh im sorry i dint know we were watching Americas Next Top Model

  • @JoSt1981 ai puta...wtf r u watchin? look at da fuckin weight feggot

  • @20rattlers12 mimimi....english plz :)

  • @JoSt1981 haha na im good

  • @JoSt1981 i wanna be ugly and fat to then

  • holy fuck he bends the bar just picking up the dam thing.

  • Just because it is a legal requirement doesn't make it safe. Locked out arms and knees are required for a full lift in Olympic weight lifting too, primarily for practicality reasons as it is easy to judge whether someone has locked their joints, thus making judging more objective.

If you read sports injury research journals, you'd know this completely destroys the knees, and thus why most elite lifters are forced into early retirement. Many sports can cause injury, even if done properly.

  • im 13 only 202lbs of solid dope free muscle and my max deadlift is 615lbs raw with perfect form, a lockout, never get hurt, and no spotters, pads, bare grip, right stance, every thing perfect. :)

    and doping free obviously!! XD

  • @13andincrediblycut cool story bro

  • @pkshae It's true. :)

  • It takes four of me to deadlift that much

  • That is not a legal DL.

  • no lockout

  • whats the song at the very end

  • Great sound...

  • I'm waiting for a Video were the bar actually snaps in half :p

  • @hahabendover You just copied some1 elses comment from mike millers squat video!

  • Comment removed

  • all of you queens flaming on this man ...... lockin, not lockin, dosent fuckin matter, he's stronger than you, and either way this is a 4 years old video, he deadlifted 5lbs more one year ago, and he fuckin smoked it.... so shut it!

  • eh, ive seen more.

  • Doesn't matter how his form was or if he locked out...He dead lifted 1003 lbs. No matter how great a accomplishment ppl still gotta throw there 2 cents or opinion and critisize. Its always nobodies that have to criticize.

  • He eat more anabolic every they, then i eat Kellogs Corneflakes with milk and sugar on a year, and i eat lot off Kellogs.

  • @bajen3 Are you speaking English?

  • sorryy ya didnt get it

    why cheer hitched

  • that was a lock morrons. hes got a big gut so you cant tell.

  • he didnt lock out the right side of his hip flexor, would have been flagged for that if i was the judge. good try though. i dont care how much weight was on there.

  • that wasn't a lockout...

  • that´s no world record, he could not finish the lift!

  • @ArnarStyr

Thats what i was thinking, it didnt look like he got all the way.

  • @somepricktookmyname wow you're an idiot

  • @somepricktookmyname I was just sayin' haha... I am a powerlifter and that would not stand in any competition.

  • I know its a massive weight and all, but he didn't lock it out.

  • wish i was tht strong

  • bull shit

  • good for your age and weight

  • thats actually very good for ur age and size lol i see guys in the gym older and bigger that cant do more than 225 lol

  • this guy makes me feel small lol. I'm 15, 5'6.5", weigh 156 lbs and max out deadlift at 305... not too bad considering I've only been lifting for a little over a year. but I wanna be one of these freaks on youtube just liftin insane amounts of weight

  • a kid your size at my school deadlifts 405

  • @OHWolves1694 stfu nobody gives a shit bout your bullshit go get a fucking life.

  • he didnt lock his knees..would have been a no lift if it was an IPF competition!!

  • Hard to tell from this angle, but it was cleared in this competition. Thats what matters man.

  • Locking the knees would actually be extremely dangerous. The knee is a muscle stabilized joint, but when locked the joint takes a substantial portion of the load and there is a very high risk of hyper extending the joint. Any competition that requires locking knees under high load is designed by very poorly educated people who should not be weight lifting in the first place.

Also, staying at a near lock for a fixed period of time would be exceedingly more difficult (and safer).

  • @llamaero1234

Maybe with your knees, but what about the knees of highly trained individuals. This guy makes speed sets with 800lbs, I can't lift half that weight! Progressively increasing the stress on the joints and muscles increases bone density and muscle size.

  • @Rulrke

increased bone density or not, 1000 pounds on a joint is dangerous

Locking on a joint also releases some muscular tension that could cause the lifter to injure himself or drop the weight, making the lift null.

  • @Rulrke true but tendons and ligaments are where it would fail, and those cant take that much weight

  • @llamaero1234 alright your not a doctor. stop trying to sound smart. you dont know shit

  • You're telling him he doesn't know shit?My god these fucking red necks these days.

  • @toothspic2 haha actually he has a PhD in kinesiology... so he IS a doctor.

  • @llamaero1234 Why are the only legal lifts the ones where you have to lockout your knees then?

  • @llamaero1234 source on all that? i know plenty of people who lock out fully with lots of weight, perhaps not as much as andy bolton, but their knees are fine. i always make sure to fully lock out and my knees feel better than ever.

  • @bretchet23

Here is one reference for starters: BMJ 1994; 308 : 231 (Published 22 January 1994) (sorry, youtube won't let me post links).

As the paper says, the effects aren't usually immediate, but rather occur in older age.

  • @llamaero1234 i doubt he did that as a percaution i think it was jsut very difficult for him to eventually lockout completly t but it was a lift by the judges so

  • @llamaero1234 Actually regardless of how even 20 people got fooled by your logic, the knee itself is in its most secured position when its locked and when the leg is fully extended, because then the load is carried by muscles.

  • @llamaero1234 Excuses. lock that shit out or go the fck home. What a bunch of bitch powerlifters that gave your comment a thumbs up.

  • @Forsestis ur a complete fucking idiot, gtfo

  • @llamaero1234

On completion of the lift, the knees shall be locked in a straight position and the lifter shall be standing erect.

  • @llamaero1234 honestly I do powerlifting too and would've given a red light

  • @turbochrgd who gives a shit? would have been a no lift in weightlifting too, but that's not what he entered now is it?

  • man that guy is a deadlift machine.

  • is there body weight catagories in this comp?? i reckon i can do it...

  • yes like any sport where weight / size is the advantage.

  • im 15 weigh 215 and can do 410lbs

  • nice bro i am 15 weight 94 kg's 5'11" and can max out 210kg's.... close to my natinal age / weight record. hw tall ru?

  • me? I'm 5'8""

  • im 6'0

  • ahh sweet we similar high and size ae.

  • Comment removed

  • that is weak thats why 110 lbs, a 14 year old could do that

  • I'm 15...

  • and ur a womans weight? I'm 15 and 210lb's.

  • lol, well I've been a skater my whole life. just recently I gave skating up to start lifting weights

  • besides that isn't even my best. I CAN deadlift 160... but I'm doing 15 deadlifts with 110.

  • 110 is really lite if your on about lbs if your talk k.g then fair play. dont know y people are dislikeing my comment110 is like 50 k.g that i lite?

  • @scarfacelu1 well, I only weigh 123,am all muscle... and maxed out at 205 with my deadlift.

  • what eva i aint getting in a petty arument with a lil boy your boring

  • lol

  • yeah it is i can get 120kg's for 10 reps. But 50kg's i can clean and press that so easyerly let alone deadlift... probably be able to do 40 reps of 50kg's.

  • very good

  • very impressive

  • you should use spell check more often

  • Ronnie coleman is 255 pounds In season, and 300 pounds off season. Wiegieboard your never gonna be able to do anything ronnie does + U SUCK

  • You're obviously not a lifter yourself and just a fanboy who likes reading the muscle magazines. Any reasonable lifter from any powerlifting club lifts a higher percentage bodyweight than he does. I already do and I'm nothing special believe me. Go out training instead of reading about training my friend, and you might learn this.

  • ye you're right. Im jealus. You found the crack in my argument.

and since you dont undertand why the benchpress argument is relevant, then you are just to dumb to understand much of anything..

  • Your whole argument has been a crack and speaking of cracks, most of what you talk also comes out of cracks daily with most people.

The bench press is completely irrelevant to this conversation because a benchpress is not a deadlift. You'd be as well talking about a bicep curl if you're talking about benching because they're both as relevant to this video as each other.

Maybe you'd better take your brain back to the factory and ask for the model with the "Logic inside" sticker attached.

  • it was a lot of weight but the lift was not performed correctly!!

  • i don't think he had it locked out ! sorry!!

  • He can deadlift a lot..but If your a fat fuck who really cares..

  • Explain.

  • Ronnie doesn't lift much for his size. Ronnie weighs something like 300lbs and deads roughly the same weight as a lot of the 90kg and 100kg natural guys at my lifting centre.

  • I didnt say "size" or "weight." Bolton is strong but hes a fat-fuck. If I had to choose between being shredded and really strong or a fat-fuck and insanely strong..I'd pick the first option.

  • Andy Bolton isn't homosexual so of course he's gonna choose performance over looks. If you were shredded and relatively strong, you'd still always be crawling in the shadow of a "fat fuck" as you put it which is quite pathetic and laughable really if you think about it logically. There are plenty of shredded, relatively strong people out there, but there are very few elite lifters. I think that I'd choose to be something special in life over being just another self obsessed homosexual.

  • Since when does being big and shredded make someone a "self obsessed homosexual?" This is about the time I figured out your a complete moron.

  • Having worked in the industry for 9 years whilst gaining my 1st degree in sports science and still working in it as I do my second degree, I can offer an educated, professional testimony stating that the "big and shredded" community has been largely homosexual and incredibly self obsessed during my 9 years in the profession. My one long sentence answers both your question and contests your assumption about my intelligence.I'll speak to you in a way which you'll better understand. Education much?

  • I have my degree in sports nutrition, I am also NASM certified. I'm a decent size myself. 220 lbs, 8% bf, Bench 225 19 times (I rarely max due to joint stress) I wont deny the self obsessed part of your statment, but the homosexual part seems off. Ive lifted with and trained a lot of men with muscular physiques (some of which I helped create) and none of which have been homosexual.

  • You seem to have gotten the heterosexual end of the clientèle. Though a lot of people who work in the industry don't much notice that their male clients neglect the opportunity to view the female pole vaulters, high jumpers and Olympic lifters, instead spending most of their session looking at guys. In powerlifting, guys seem to go to lift, but in the bodybuilding community in my experience and in the countries I've worked in, the guys tarry around between sets, looking at men. Very closeted.

  • are you a moron?

Ronnie does 4x800lbs. And he is a bodybuilder, not a powerlifer. I dare you to do outpreform him in any exercise

  • I'm doing 2.589 x bodyweight for triples right now.

    He's doing 2.5 x bodyweight at a push for 4s assuming he's weighing 330 in the video.

It might be a close call but I think I have the edge.

Also, I'm 3 months back after chronic illness and my bmi is 25%. That makes me a fatboy.

My lifting partner is currently singling at 3.3x bodyweight which means I personally train with much more impressive people already.

Do you like the taste of my penis, son?

  • you are right, you are fat. Ugly to..

but ronnie dont weigh 330 there.. 280 tops... Ronnie never let him self get filmed when he is at his fattest. how does that compute?

but arguing on the net is a moronic thing to do. atleast with fat ppl

  • LOL @ 280! He was in contest shape weighing more than that! So it's pretty safe to say that he's way more than 280 there.

What is also more hilarious than me being fat is that I, fat boy, am more powerful than your hero (whose dick you'd suck in an instant), even when I'm severely out of shape.

As for me being ugly, it could be worse, I could be a pansy like you are.

I'm sorry but you have entirely failed in your so called argument. I'd more likely call it Me>You. Face it. u got PWNT :)

  • rofl mad much nerd?

  • ye you are right, You are a real man.

Im sure that a random youtube bitching gay man can lift more than the biggest bodybuilders on earth.. ofcourse you can, Im the lame one thinking coleman is stronger than you..

I bow before the might of your winning arguments.

  • There are likely quite a few gay men who lift more than the biggest bodybuilders on earth you're right. I'd put money on there being literally hundreds, thousands or even tens of thousands of men who are FAR superior powerlifters. There are >dozen men at my gym alone lifting over 3x bodyweight, and that's just the natural guys.

Unlike some folks, I'm not on youtube for the joy of winning arguments and making my dick look bigger. I'm here to state simple fact to the uneducated and inexperienced.

  • no, you're right, im not a lifter. Though I do train alot of weights...

Point is, I just don't belive you. Saying Coleman issnt strong is just lame. Im sure there are powerlifters thats stronger than he is. But im pretty sure you are not one of them..

and its easyer for a small guy to lift 3x their weight than for a big guy to do the same.

Where I come from we have a olympic gold medalist called John Rønningen that lifted 170kg in the bench without west. he is 52kg.

  • but if someone of Colemans size doing the same he would lift over 400kg without a west. Now that has never been done by anyone. see my point?

% of you bodyweight issnt a very good way to go, only if you compare ppl of equal size.

another thing is that Coleman is just as strong in almost all exercizes... A powerlifer is not.

  • Sent you a link to a 400kg unsuided lift from within my small circle of contacts. I believe that my youtube account isn't working correctly.

  • benchpress, read what I write.

if someone of colemans size lifted the same % of his bodyweight as Jon Rønningen did in benchpress he would lift well over 400kg without a west. Im not talking about deadlift now.

  • The lift in the video is a deadlift, not a benchpress......

  • damn you're a dumb one.. I know its a deadlift. but im talking about benchpress to make a point. But you dont seem to get that, so im just gonna give up.

those roids burn your braincells it seems.

  • Erm, I'm roid free and would gladly take any test to prove so. It's funny in that you're so jealous of my ordinary, natural abilities, that you're willing to pettily accuse me of illegal drug use. You see, this proves two things. One, that your knowledge of lifting is laughable hence the fact that you cannot fathom natural ability as common as mine and 2, you're jealous of it and scared of both it and me.You're uneducated. Also, why would you bring benchpress up in a discussion over deadlift?Idiot.

  • He did 800 x 2 in near contest shape, he would therefore have a good shot at about 900 in off season shape, at the end of the day he lifts more than you, more than me, was the best at what he does and pound for pound not much weaker than Andy Bolton (who also cannot lift 3 times bodyweight). BTW I am not a fan of bodybuilding but I can appreciate the dedication it requires even it that does mean a ton of drugs.

  • There's no record of him ever having lifted 900 that I know of. This is akin to saying that I could hit 4x bodyweight in the dl if I used steroids even though I haven't done so, or that I could knock out Ricky Hatton if I landed the right punch on his chin at the right time although I haven't done so either. Something theoretical does not mean that it has happened and what has happened is what actually matters. Andy did 933raw. Ron doubled 800 fully equipped as I remember, roided to the gills.

  • @char19822

800 for 2 gives him the ability to do 900? More like 850.

  • No 800 for 2 in near contest shape, gives him a shot at 900 if he's prepared to put on some weight and train for it for a few months. Dieting makes you weaker for sure, without steriods, 10 days of poor eating takes about 4 weeks to undo.

  • ronnie has done 2 x 800. and ronnie WAS a powerlifter before he started bodybuilding.

  • 5k run

  • fuking unbelievable... deadlift is the only true lift left and he did how many pounds? fucking 1003!!!!

  • Damn.

  • look at the fuking bar bend!!!

  • @xconicx Unbelievable

  • Comment removed

  • Says at the beginning of the video... 455kg

  • A DAMN POUND YOU FOOL

  • he looks like a fucking monster named egore lol

  • beast

  • He did lockout there were judges and it's clear he did lockout but it was for 0.2 seconds...
