  • nice kit :D

  • great sounds!!!! :)

  • Keep it up!!!

  • pro

  • better than cobus?

  • Comment removed

  • all i can say is fukn mean az

  • awesome cover but i had to admit the single bangs you do (Im not a drummer by the way and cant play them anything like u !!) but the single bangs should be ended right away rather than left to rattle. I jus like that part of the tune, the bang and immediate stop of noise from the bang. However dont listen to me man, this is amazing anyway lol

  • `haha this kid looks like cody rhodes

  • That was Awesome!

    lol better than cobus =P

anyways, what are your snare settings for that kit? i really want them for my dnb kit =)

  • awesome job m8!

  • highscore!

  • Wow, good cover! By the way, give the Cobus stuff a rest ¬_¬ PEACE.

  • good cover but cobus did a awsome joe cobus potgieter wins

  • That was really bad

  • Soooooo how many sticks do you go through?...Oh yeah just one pair will last you forever.

  • Great job!!

  • Mate that is shit hot playing Better than Cobus. I used to play in a band and your doing good shit mate. Just ready to purchase an electronic kit

  • 7 Justin Bieber fans.... The drum cover is great made. Keep up!

  • This is an excellent cover, the way its been put into your own, just the way cobus does, anyway i wanted ask, how much will a kit like that be?

  • Awesome!

  • very good

  • You are realy great!!!! make me feel gooooooooood MAN!!!!! Realy great jop!

  • amazing, ma favo song too

  • imk not a drummer. not at all. but, correct me if im wrong, i think your kick is a little off sometimes.

  • cobus potgieters cover of this is way better .

but your good man keep it up

  • cobus or not, this is a tight cover...and cobus doesnt exploit the hi-hat like he should for this cover, nice work man

  • Awesome! How do you reduce the drums in the original track?

  • Love your drum kit!

  • td-12 ?

  • i think this is the best drum cover of freestyler ! i like cobus's version very much but this is better

  • good skills, but i couldn't listen to it all the way through, the sound of your snare was going right through me, can you not EQ the sample, or use a different patch, the mid just rings out and sounds horrible... imo

  • Great hatz off nice cover!!

  • Great cover!

But what is the pad next to your snare drum on the left? It's black .. pintech?

  • @0Nolan Its actually a clear acrylic drum shell, with a home made trigger inside, which I built.

  • I think this is actually better than Cobus' version of the same song.

    Good job man.

  • @Rayce81 i dont think its better, but i dont think its worse either, just a different way of playing it. Nice cover though!!!!

  • i likeeeee iiiiiiiiiiiiii :D

  • great job!

  • sweeeeeeet

  • Solid cover, great job.

  • u rock

  • nice .. i only HATE electric kits.

  • nice

  • Can any1 tell me an easy way to add music to ur drum cover?

  • love the fill at 3:35 i think your using it 300 times, but thats just great!! nice cover!!

  • dam, ur mad good!

  • good job man really good!

  • ok, well i think you did a very good job. great timing. as far as the dude who said you were rushing...well he's mistaken. If anything you anticipated the fills perfectly. there might have been one time at the very end fill where in the middle of that fill you may have rushed a tinsy bit. very good job! it bothers me when people give incorrect advice. keep up the good work...try to work on some grooves. those are the most challenging. nice dude.

  • stamping the beat out of his set

  • Really good! If i can say something that you could work on, it would be the timing in some of the fast fills, it feels like your having a little bit of a rush sometimes. not fatal at all, it was really good but if you want some details to work on, that would be it. But still! great job!

  • Great cover, great drumming ;) and am loving your set ;)

  • Im going to start playing drums on christmas but im going to get an accoustic drum, I think they re a lot better and you can really feel what u re playing

  • well, sometimes you dont have a choice. i live in a block of apartments and if I had an acoustic kit I would have all the neighbours complaining :S

  • how you can get there the drums sounds ?

  • What kind of set is this? I'm thinking of starting to play drums but noise is an issue. Would an electric kit be a good alternative to acoustic until I get my own place? If so, any recommendations for a beginner? =]]

  • This is a TD-12. If your looking to get an electronic kit, you could get anything from a Roland td3, td6 or look into Yamaha electronic kits.

  • i have that question to. can you rimshot on your kit? also, can you stop the sound of your cymbals in any way, like you can in a acustic kit?

  • Yes, you can get a rimshot on all the drums, and you can also choke the cymbals.

  • great m8, thx

  • can you do rim shots on an electric kit?

  • good cover, but Cobus's is better. I play an electronic kit too but there really is no replacing the sound of a great acoustic kit, which Cobus has. Also, during the "chorus" parts of the song, check out what Cobus does by alternating strokes between the bell and the cymbal part of the ride. Good video though

  • @ambushdm5

Not everything is about cobus.. Why does EVERYONE reference EVERY fucking drum cover to cobus, Yeah , he is Extremely talented and a great drummer but this bloke doesn't need an acoustic kit because Cobus has one. Everyone has their own style and you don't need to tell this guy how to play - he has his own style obviously and it works for him.

    Peace.

  • I agree, everyone can take an idea (i.e. a song) that he has done and play it themselves...

  • Dude, this is cool. Good skills. Keep it up!

  • this is so amazing, good job!

Very very great. I love this video

    and song. you so good!

  • Close your mouth xD

  • Haha, can't help it.

  • lol never heard of drum face?

  • omg!!!!nice feeling!!! good job:D i like cobus cover but your cover has got nice fills :)

  • oops not without love..i meant long training running by the doobie brothers....

  • you should do some hip-hop beats :D

  • nice playing, but a bit repetetive, use a bit more toms and dont be afraid to use em without your snare ;) that'd be my advise, but nice playing.

  • I'm impressed, well done.

  • OmgoshD:

    That Kit is insane..

    So rich of you.

  • so rich of u... lol

  • Good job man! Keep it up!

  • this is good for an electronic kit...you can get more expressive and unique sounds with a real drum kit tho...but yea COBUS ROCKS!!!! his sense of rhythm is crazy

  • you done a good job ;)

but i think that the ride sucks in the sound

    accoustics rocks much more

  • i play both on accoustic and electric and honestly i think acoustic is easier to play because the pads and cymbals are bigger so its easier to hit em instead of miss em, altho electric drumsets have better sound quality and easier for recording

  • good shit but yeah cobus is better...

i mean for one he can play it on a real kit and that is harder to lay the a n electric kit but still pretty darn good

  • u look awkward when playing...but then again i just watched cobus play this same song...its hard to follow michael jordan in the dunk contest if u know what i mean

  • Cobus Intro Is Nice =]

  • D: I'm drooling over that Roland TD set T_T. that set is 6k+ to those who don't know how much that thing is. What an investment lol.

  • OMAGAD Terrible :ouch:

  • stfu that was awesome

    you probably don't play shit

  • dope man! sick 5 stars

  • that drum kit must have been expensive...

  • It¨s really good but cobus is better.

  • Awesome playing man!

  • bad ass superb perfect what else can i say i love the kit!

  • Ace!!!

  • you GREAT!

  • Nice man, you can tell that you love to play drums; your feeling it. Well done!

  • Me like....that kit is expensive....

  • that ride sounds nice

  • Awesome man. Well played!

  • Someones improving :).

Well done man, getting REAL tight!

  • That was bangin mannn, keep rockin!

  • nice kit, how much was it??
