@GymnasticsFan1144 She probably would've medalled somewhere or another. Her beam and floor are gold medal worthy. When she gets the Produnova, she won't even need to upgrade bars, she'll be a top AAer. And with a Produnova and a Yurchenko 1/1, she has a decent shot at the medals on vault.

@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Yeah she can, I'm surprised her weakest event is bars, it's usually Japan's best event, I think she can improve on it..next year the AA is gonna be close with Komova, Musty, Grishina, Wieber, Ross, Ioradache, and Murakami! :) I want a Russian for Gold though ;)

@GymnasticsFan1144 It is Japan's best event which is pretty funny. It's also funny how with her 7.1 (Produnova), Iizuka's 6.5 (Amanar), and Sasada's 5.8 (DTY. Only if Sasada cleans it up), vault could potentially go from being Japan's weakest to their strongest! Floor is still a question. They have a few who are strong here like Teramoto and Mai. And Japan's always been beautiful on beam. I think they have a decent shot at fifth. But so does GB. Love those that you mentioned. I want it too haha.

@MKsports13 Yes. She's been doing it as her second pass since 09 and she was 12! When she was 12, she could also do the double straight and a 3 1/2 twist.

@gymnasticsfan14 Thank God she is! Her and Natsumi Sasada are Japan's secret weapons. Mai's been doing a 3 1/2 twist, double double, and double layout since 2009! And Sasada has a gorgeous full-twisting back layout beam mount and double double on floor!

It's rated an F by a judge from New Zealand! Dance elements aren't supposed to be higher than an E, but this is! I can't wait for her to turn senior in 2012! When I first saw Cui Jie, I was so excited for her to turn senior, but the Chinese government thought she'd get bigger. And then I found Mai. Pixie gymnasts!

I don't care what people say, but she and Omelianchik are the best floor workers of all time. I think this routine suits her a lot but I liked her 2010 routine MUCH better. Best tumbler of all-time because while she isn't a Dos Santos, she's close and she has more control. She'll win gold on floor in 2012 if she performs like this and possibly an AA medal.

I'm guessing her execution score was in the mid 8s to high 8s.

She's wonderful! Somebody needs to get her a good choreographer right now: it is obvious that she can do better than "chicken flapping" and foot stomping that she shows here. And the music is completely wrong for a 14 y.o. girl. This is NOT a criticism of the gymnast OR her coach. She is just doing what is trendy in the sport. But as I said, she can do so much better. Congratulations on the National Championship, Mai Murakami!
