So, i was afraid that linen may be a type of silk cloth too.

PLEASE ...TELL.

and... May Allah Help us All, and guide us so we may lead better lives.

because i know that wearing silk is haram. But you see... this linen cloth is not really silky. It's soft.

But then i came across this hadith:

'... He (SAW) forbade us to use silver utensils and dishes and to wear golden rings, silk (clothes), Dibaj (pure silk cloth), Qissi and Istabraq (two kinds of silk cloths).'

but i really wanted to ask this shaykh that, is wearing 'linen' (a type of cloth) .. haram?

Linen (not sure of the spelling) is sold in Pakistan mainly during winters. It's this soft cloth that is genuinely cool to wear. I was really confused because -(see comment above)-
