I have to agree with you French. I helped setup the stage for a well known Christian band a few months ago. From what I heard from my one friends that was organizing the local setup crew and making sure that they had plenty of refreshments backstage etc. I dont know if it was an off day or what, but it was not very christian like of them. Course it could have been their manager making all of the additional requests as well. Sometimes you just have to wonder are they just doing it for the money.

I just think that Rock is a completely carnal form of singing. Its not humble, its fast, has a hard beat, and makes you feel good. I believe from what I have seen in Christian bands is that they are not a light on a hill. I have to check that verse again but, from what I remember it is stated if your hand causes you to sin cut it off... aka if you sin and repent of it and do not do it again you are fine, but if you constantly sin with that hand, it is better to cut it off. JC is coming in the near future (as stated since Christ was here the first time) we have to be ready and if we constantly stumble on the same thing over and over again, we do not want to sin 2 seconds before His 2nd coming and not repent it.

Yes it is wonderful that you were brought to God, but I believe that most Christian Bands do not live up to the lifestyle they are singing. The importance is also the artist whom is singing. What is the intent of his heart? To praise God or make alot of Money? The Christian Contemporary Music Industry has been found to be only using the market to make money, not praise God.
