Okay so basically what she is saying is to first section your hair then curl in the hair from the bottom with the large iron curl and do it for 5seconds for each small section of the hair.

She also talked about the average stuff about using hair protection sprays before curling and to hair spray your hairs after you are done.

What she talked about in this video is the average stuff other english hair curling videos would talk about.

And if you have to ask, yes I can understand Mandarin.

Actually, hair that's anywhere from your scalp to your ears is considered short. Medium is anywhere from the bottom of your ears to your shoulders, and anything past your shoulders is considered long. Just go look in a salon hairstyle book. :)
