I had it rolling roaded in June, and it was estimated to be producing 263bhp @ 7000rpm which was a very pleasent suprize

got the six speed i see...very good gear ratios, as my five speed 1.8T is at 100mph when I go into fourth. What kinda gas mileage does that 3.2 give ya, (when your not on the metal all the time)

thanks, the gas mileage varies very much depending on your mood/driving style!

I can get as low as 13-15mpg on a 17mile route to and from my work place which is a really tight and twisty road (mostly 2/3/4th gears)

On the motorway at a very relaxed 70-80mph cruise, you can get 30mpg

I definitely agree with that. I got as high as 31 mpg (at least according to my MFD trip computer, although I'm always suspicious it's off a little) driving on the motorway steady at 65 mph. BTW, do you have the full MFD display in the gauge cluster (UK version I presume)

acceleration excellent.0-60 about low 5 sec. range? could prob. do even better as that was a fairly mild launch no doubt to save the clutch? yeah don't really like to do high rpm launches on my R being AWD (clutch wear).also noticed you're able to reach 60 in 2nd gear assuming the stock speedometer is accurate (stock ones are usually off by a little).how much of that is due to more power from the mods and how much of that is due to a raised rev limiter? how much does AMD raise the limit?

yes the launch was mild, I think it was about 3500-4000 rpm and sidestepped the clutch.

I've seen the best times seem to be around 5000rpm, but I'm not keen on busting any mechanicals to get 0.5 seconds off that time! atleast I now know what's possible if you try harder..

My AMD remap has a supposed rev limit of 7400 rpm, and I've certainly seen the rev counter get to 7400 when racing thru 2nd and 3rd gear. The car still doesn't quite reach 60 in 2nd, maybe possible if you gun for 7400+ (i think), but again it seems a big gamble for those extra tenths!

The raised rev limiter does give you extra flexibility, but not any extra power - I still believe max power is achieved around about 6200rpm mark.

I recently took some MAF readings via Vagcom, and I got a maximum of 199g/s in 3rd gear (13 degrees celcius ambient temp), which I believe equates to approx 250bhp.

I think that is about right, given the age of the car now (4years/60,000miles)

Standard car is about 14.5 seconds 0-100, so it's about right with the remap and exhaust.

It always could be faster, but if u did make it much faster, the chassis would lag behind newer cars.

I'm happy with the way it is, it's my daily car for the past 3.5 years, and its never let me down
