She spent over a month in prison for draft-resistance work, and has faced down rifles with MLK and bullets and bombs around the world, worked with Walesa and Havel on the velvet revolution. , and is the LEAST fake person you could imagine.
I am haunted by this song,and the wonderful performance by Miss.Baez. I wish it didn't cut off, I wish someone would post the full version of this performance. There is something real wonderful about it.

The protest movement was nothing more than fashion (and driven by fear) for these cowards. I love Tom Waits and Dylan, but Baez is a fake piece of shit.
Were you alive during the Vietnam War. I do recall Joan journeying to Hanoi to voice her concern for our American troops. She is and will also be---the queen of the folk era.

I too hope Joan will record this beautiful track on her next album. Hearing Joan sing this during 2 UK concerts this year was more than worth the travelling I had to do.
