So... you're supposed to unclip it from the book, then reclip it every time you get to the next page?

How is that a good concept?

You could put it to the cover of the book

Probably you could use both, but i dont know, because i dont have that light.

But you can imagine what I've seen... the light only illuminates one page at a time. Clipping it to the front or back cover does not fix the problem.
