  • Is this how the actual game is gonna look!?

  • I am such an arachniphob. I HATED the first dungeon in skyward sword and twilight princess for the skulltulas and now THIS!!!???

  • @pokemonfan115

    HA HA!

    YOU'RE CLIFFORD!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • This is like the ultimate evolution of the Sega Nomad lol

    so rad

    I WANT A WII U

  • Spiders aren't new in zelda games.

  • Its a nit-pick I know, but there seems to be aliasing on some edges, even with the small chassis they are constrained to I'd expect a 2012 GPU to be able to ramp up the antialiasing, especially in a closed demo.

  • so is this a new game?

  • @LilithImmacualte

Nope, not officially at least. Just a technology demo to show the graphics it can pump.

  • Spiders are so hardcore.

  • i'm chucking out my Xbox right now. WII RULES!!

  • 1. silent this video

    2. go to mindheist - zack hemsley and set it in 0:01

    3. play both videos at the same time

  • what the name of the zelda game that is coming out?

  • @wildtk123 It's not a real game, it's just a tech demo. There is no HD Zelda coming out.

  • i heard that the wii u will be an OPEN platform

  • IMO Nintendo seems almost IDK Communist minded in nature,

They are not open to outside innovation, and they pour development money into relatively few title franchises, and those franchises happen to be particualrly brilliant. But thier scope is realtively limited. I wanted all Zelda games to look like this video and feel like OoT and Majoras mask. But Nintendo didnt care.

All the others are Capitalistic in nature, and while thier titles rarely have the charm of Zelda they do have broad appeal

  • 1.-Close your eyes

2.-Imagine Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox, Smash Bros or F-Zero in HD graphics

3.-Imagine yourself playing online an F-Zero game in HD, running with Epona in Hyrule Field in HD, blowing the head of aliens in Metroid HD, Flying in the space inside your plane in a Star Fox HD, kicking bowser's ass in HD, fighting against another 3 competitors in a Smash Bros HD...

Yep, Wii U it's going to be GORGEOUS, i can't wait!!!!!!!!!

    *-*

  • @TheVolvagia Yeah now open your eyes and snap back to reality because those games are NEVER going to happen. Nintendo's going to keep churning out the same low-effort, low-quality garbage they've been cranking out since the N64 and the graphics will look terrible as always, but I thought graphics didn't matter to you Nintendo fanboys? So it's okay if all Mario games look like NSMB Wii from now on? Because that was the case for the demo they showed of an NSMB game for the Wii U.

  • @PsychoJosh Calm Down, they are just games, don't take this too serious, freak.

  • @PsychoJosh Yes and all black people eat fried chicken, and all jewish people are rich, and all white people are racist. Not every Nintendo fan doesn't care about graphics, most care about the game itself and don't put the ability to look shiney and realistic over gameply and fun. And the quality of games went down (for the most part) with Wii. They tried to compete with "hardcore" games with the gamecube and hardly anyone bought it so they changed their marketing stratagy.

  • @nintendomaster9793 Here's the deal: NO ONE in the ENTIRE GAME INDUSTRY thinks graphics are more important than gameplay. That's just a load of bullshit made up by Nintendo fanboys, "well we have better gameplay instead of graphics!" Nintendo fanboys created this excuse to cover up the fact that Nintendo is too fucking cheap to shell out the money for good hardware. Better hardware enhances gameplay too you know, giving you things like more enemies and larger areas.

  • @PsychoJosh Of course it enhances it. But graphics ARE one of the least important qualities of a game. Nintendo games are very high-quality, you have to look at them from an artistic perspective. Technologically, the other consoles are more powerful, but then Wii U shall come, and it will change. And why are you coming on here trying to start some war? If you have an opinion, say it, but swearing and saying "Nintendo fanboys made this" are both overrated and only weaken your argument.

  • @thedivinity24136 From an artistic perspective Nintendo games are neither innovative or groundbreaking and actually look incredibly childish. So you're wrong there. There are real artistic games that adhere to mature styles that only appear on other systems, such as fl0wer, Bastion and the upcoming games The Last Guardian and Journey. Those are beautiful and tactful games that are both artistically and technically superior in aesthetics that surpass anything Nintendo's done.

  • @PsychoJosh I don't agree AT ALL. Skyward Sword is my main argument, the way it was modeled after an impressionistic painting, and the background looking like a watercolor.

  • @thedivinity24136 Really? Because it doesn't look anything like that, doesn't resemble a painting in any way, it just looks like a faux-anime cartoon with mediocre graphics and textures. Have you seen Marvel vs. Capcom 3 or Okami? Because those games have actual styles that resemble artistic pieces, MVC3 actually looks like comic book art whereas Okami looks distinctly like sumi-e paintings. SS's style just looks like "Nintendo doesn't want to spend much money on this game".

  • @PsychoJosh Seen them? Yes. So sorry, but they do look very artistic. Need examples? The faron woods tree was beautiful when looked at from a distance. Try looking at the smoke rising out of Eldin Volcano. Looking at your comments so far, it seems like I am but another person who's gotten trapped into an argument with you.

Do you enjoy arguing? I do too. You want to argue, I'll gladly show you an argument. But it must be kept civil.

  • @thedivinity24136 The "artistic" moments don't really show up at all unless you're looking at a very specific view that the game forces you into seeing. Setpieces are great and all but during the course of normal dungeon-crawling gameplay the game looks very bland, like they blew their entire visual budget only on the places where you can survey a nice view. They're very colorful but they don't actually resemble watercolors in the effects, just in the textures.

  • @PsychoJosh First you were claiming there were no artistic moments. Now you claim that there were, just at certain points. Why don't you stick to one story, okay? I can see how some points might look a bit bland, but about 95% of the environment's visuals impressed me. The only moments it didn't was when I was crawling through some small tunnel or something like that.

  • @PsychoJosh What are you on about? The Wii is the first underpowered console Nintendo ever released. N64 was more powerful than PSOne and GameCube was more powerful than PS2. Nintendo took a gamble on Wii, and it paid off. Now were going to see the completion of the Wii dream, Wii was part 1, Wii U will be the sequel and take it further than before.

  • N64 had a powerful CPU, but it was still bottlenecked mainly due to the cartridge format; it almost NEVER used all 64 bits, so PSX was the overall the technically superior console thanks to its disc format. The fact that the N64 had greater processing power is a moot point because it would never be able to fully use it. Games like FF7 and MGS would have been impossible to realize on the N64. Also the PS2 and GC were equal in power and the Xbox was more powerful than both.

  • @PsychoJosh Yes, as I admitted earlier, the cartridge format was the only major drawback to the N64, causing many developers to abandon Nintendo for Sony. I still maintain the GC was more powerful than PS2 tech-wise. We'll have to wait till E3 to see what Ninty has in store for Wii U. As it stands right now, they seem to be making all the right moves. I bet if the next Zelda was to look like this, alot of those haters would play it. Some people are just graphics whores.

  • @donzaloog1400 Many people agree that the GC and PS2 are technologically similar so that places you in the wrong on this subject again. Also, nobody in the entire game industry, consumer, developer or otherwise, is a "graphics whore". Nintendo fans always have this crutch that people on the other systems "only care about graphics", a statement that is not, nor has it EVER been true. Absolutely no one thinks graphics take precedence over gameplay.

  • @PsychoJosh PS1 can't run Conker's Bad Fur Day... and well, i've been reading your comments, and for you:

    Nintendo=Giant Piece of Shit

    Sony/MS=God

All you've been doing it's talk bad about Nintendo, you only say that it's a company with crappy games, crappy techonlogy, and even a pile of shit surpasses it, look, if you hate Nintendo, by wathever reason, i can't understand why are you watching a NINTENDO WII U DEMO, yea, you can see all what you want, but why u see something that u don't like?

  • @TheVolvagia PS1 could easily run Conker's Bad Fur Day, it runs games like MGS and Spyro just fine.

  • @PsychoJosh Conker it's a full 64 bit game...and the ps1 only can run max. 32 bit games...

  • @TheVolvagia I'm sure it could run it if the graphics were compromised just a little. Even if it couldn't, so what, PSX is more than capable of running masterful setpiece games.

  • @PsychoJosh i'm not saying that PSX it's a bad console with bad games, don't get me wrong.

I just want to suggest that although the Nintendo 64 had many technical limitations, it don't remain so behind in terms of graphics against PSX.

  • @TheVolvagia Actually the Nintendo 64 was superior in raw graphics than the PSX. It could generate more polygons and lightning effects. The problem with the N64 was ultimately the cartridges and the lack of significant ram (hence the memory pak).

  • @MachineLaw Yes, i know, that's why i said that PS1 can't run Conker's Bad Fur Day...or Pokemon Stadium 2...or Turok 3...

  • @TheVolvagia Yes that's completely true.

  • as good as this looks nintendos is still like 10 years behind sony and microsoft this is what the original wii should have looked like...

  • @BlazinBlood they were focusing on getting more people to play games. the ps2 was graphically behind but that didn't stop it from shining. Unfortunately, third party developers are wary that their games would be foreshadowed by Nintendo's so most of them abandoned it for that reason. Also people have a stupid notion that Nintendo games are for kids.

Nintendo just tend to make their games available to everyone so everyone could play, unlike 'M' rated games.

  • @BlazinBlood Depends what you value in a games console. A console doesn't have to have next generation processing & graphical capability to make it a good console. There are countless games developed for the 360 & PS3, sold to misguided kids on graphical appeal alone. Most of these games have zero game playability. Virtually every title produced by Shigeru Miyamoto over the last 25 years has been absolutely timeless.

  • @shredx81 You're an idiot. No one thinks graphics are more important than gameplay. That's just an excuse made up by stupid Nintendo fanboys like yourself to cover up the fact that Nintendo is too stingy to pay for better hardware. People don't buy games just for graphics, they're not completely shallow like you and don't praise games just because they have Zelda or Mario in the title. You don't have a damn clue what you're talking about; games on the HD systems are sold on GAMEPLAY.

  • Zelda 3

  • Nintendo OWNS EVERYONE

They made the first 3_Dimensional game U__U

  • @TheKidMotion Wow, really? Nintendo made Doom? No? Did they make I, Robot for the arcades (a 3D game that was made in 1983)? No? Hmm... did they make Battlezone from 1980? Oh, they didn't? Well if I didn't know any better I'd say you were just an ignorant Nintendo fanboy talking out of his ass!

  • Got to have this for that zelda game.I love zelda

  • I CANT UNDERSTAND D:

what's the meaning of "E3" ?? O_o Zelda HD? refer to Zelda game in Wii with HD cable ? O_o or is other Zelda ?! or.. aaaaaa! XD TELL ME ANYONE ! xD

  • @alizee92 O_O ooooh another possibility, Zelda HD only is in wii U? or in Wii too? O_o

  • How dare they call themselves hardcore if they know nothing about Zelda!!

  • Nintendo has always been catering to hardcore gamers.

  • Damn I hope they use this style for the next game on the Wii U.

I'm no graphics whore, seriously, but even I admit that this is on par with newer Final Fantasy games.

This could even be the intro to a boss fight =P

  • Beautiful. Just fucking beautiful. Nintendo always innovating, never disappointing.

  • @donzaloog1400 I hope you're joking because HD graphics aren't new. This was an "innovation" way back in 2005 but it isn't now.

  • @PsychoJosh I wasn't talking about HD. I'm talking about the new controller. Really innovation. Nobody does it like Nintendo.

  • @donzaloog1400 Yeah, nobody's ever done a touch screen with buttons before. Oh wait...

  • @PsychoJosh It's so much more than that. We've only seen a little peak of what the system is capable of. Those other touch screens with buttons, are they completely backwards compatible with all Wii accessories? There is nothing on the market like this. Nintendo has raised the bar again.

Based on all I've heard and seen about the Wii U, it will be the best system on the market when it's released, Sony and MS will try to pretend that they aren't worried about , then copy Nintendo's work.

  • @donzaloog1400 So you're saying that the innovation comes from being backwards compatible with proprietary Wii stuff. Sorry but that's idiotic reasoning. It's a given that it's going to be backwards compatible. All I see is just a gimmicky and unwieldy controller, in addition rumors are flying around that only one will be able to be used per system, making multiplayer games impossible. It's like using this drawing tablet I have in front of my computer to play games.

  • @PsychoJosh Something like this has never been done with a gaming console before. And everyone who has used the controller so far says it really comfortable and easy to use. I'm sure Nintendo's gonna knock it out of the park as they always do. People were doubtful about the Wii's motion controls too. It turned out to be the best selling console of this generation. Just watch some of the videos from E3 last year and CES this year.

  • @donzaloog1400 "Knock it out of the park like they always do" LOL yeah, Nintendo has ALWAYS been successful. The N64, Gamecube and Virtual Boy were all fine examples of their successes.

Whether or not the Wii sold well or not is irrelevant to anybody that isn't a corporation. The Wii was a terrible console with a poor selection of good games and only sold well due to the fact that its simplistic bundled-in sports game appealed to a non-gamer audience of soccer moms and grandmas.

  • @PsychoJosh The N64 was a good console, it didn't do as well as it should have because Sony released the playstation before it and everyone jumped on that because of the introduction of CDs as opposed to cartridges. BTW Nintendo created the Playstation with Sony, but backed out of the project and Sony decided to continue it on their own. N64 was still successful and had some of the best games of all time on it. I'm out of space, I'll make another post.

  • @donzaloog1400 So you're going to completely alter the definition of "failure" to conveniently bolster your argument instead of admitting that the N64 and Gamecube were both miserable failures. Great job! I don't know if you're a troll or you really are this retarded. "It didn't sell as well as its competitors", that means it's a FAILURE by definition, it's a clearly defined term, you idiot. No vagueness. If a product is in last place at the end of its shelf life, it is a failure.

  • @PsychoJosh If the N64 was such a failure, why are so many of the features it pioneered still around today? Analog stick, rumble pack. Ocarina of time is the template for all 3D action games with it's revolutionary Z tartgetting system. Super Mario 64 is the template for 3D platformers.

  • @donzaloog1400 Whether or not something is copied does not determine whether it was a failure or not. Many companies today have achieved success by copying the ideas of companies that failed. The way I see it Sony merely took Nintendo's idea and made them better. Nintendo introduced analog, Sony introduced dual analog. Nintendo introduced rumble, Sony made it built in to in all controllers. This really doesn't say anything about the N64 succeeding or not, which it didn't.

  • @PsychoJosh But, if Nintendo never came up with the idea in the first place would Sony have had anything to copy? Nintendo once again, innovates. They're not afraid to take chances and try new things, instead of giving us the same product in prettier packages for three generations. If Nintendo wasn't around the industry would have stagnated long ago.

  • @donzaloog1400 And saying that all controllers use the same formula as the SNES controller is another patently false statement, basically like saying they all use Atari's template because they have buttons and directional controls. Newer games necessitate controls like this, it's an extremely obvious design that anyone can come up with regardless of Nintendo's involvement. Arrow keys and buttons can be oriented in any manner.

  • @PsychoJosh You missed the point. I meant the controller layout of 1 D pad, 1 start button, 1 select button, 4 face buttons, and shoulder buttons was first introduced with the SNES. Controllers today (except the Wii Remote, another Nintendo product, go figure) all use some adaptation of this formula.

  • @donzaloog1400 Also, you really believe Ocarina of Time is the template for all 3D action games? Because that statement is just wrong and demonstrates your ignorance. Games like Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted do not follow Zelda's template in any concievable way, and these are just games off the top of my head, I do know for a fact that the vast majority of 3D action games do not follow Zelda in the slightest. You couldn't be more wrong.

  • @PsychoJosh All of those games you mentioned came after Ocarina. You know what template means, right? It's a basic constuct that all systems of it's ilk draw back to. They may differ from Ocarina, but because Ocarina opened that door and showed them how to do it, they can take the template and improve on it. Ocarina for 3D action, Mario 64 for platformers and Goldeneye for console fps.

  • @donzaloog1400 Um, no, have you even played Bayonetta? It doesn't use Z-targetting at all and plays more like frenetic action games in 90s arcades, Zelda didn't show how to do a damn thing. Old arcade games had lateral movement and buttons to attack with in a plane that had depth. Uncharted is the same way, its gameplay is unique to it, making heavy use of intuitive third-person shooting with no auto-targeting, it doesn't borrow a thing from Zelda. You are completely wrong on this

  • @PsychoJosh Again, you missed the point. I didn't mean that every game that came out after Ocarina is a Zelda clone that use Z targeting. No other game on a home console before Ocarina had the 3D battle system where the fights happen real time, where you can circle a full 360 around the enemy attacking weak points on the back. 3D swordplay was first realised by this title too. There's a reason that game is constantly rated as the greatest game of all time. Have you ever played it?

  • @donzaloog1400 No, now you're changing what you're saying. You initially said that Zelda laid the "groundwork" for games like Bayonetta in terms of 3D combat whereas I said that Bayonetta plays more like pre-Zelda arcade games and doesn't borrow anything from Zelda. There are no "weak points on the back" to strike at in the game, it's not anything like Zelda in any way and you're just stretching out this asspull argument as long as you can. You're wrong about this, just accept it.

  • @PsychoJosh Once again, you're just focusing on the point you're trying to get across and not listening to mine. Ocarina's Z targetting system was the first to use a button to lock on to enemy, and to centre the camera. Almost every action game uses this concept in one form or another. Before Ocarina, lock-on was mostly used for guided weapons like missiles.

  • @donzaloog1400 And I keep telling you this is WRONG. Bayonetta, Assassin's Creed and Uncharted not use anything like that; they do not have Z targetting in any form and centering the camera is not necessary. This point is going into one of your ears and coming out the other. Cearly you haven't played any of those games and you're just repeating this point in an attempt to mask your ignorance about them.

  • @PsychoJosh Yes, I have never played any of those games that's why I can't comment on them. I can only talk about things I know.

  • @PsychoJosh Gamecube was also a very good system, just because it didn't sell as well as it's competitors doesn't mean a console was failure. By that menatlity the XBox 360 Aand PS3 are failures because the Wii has greatly outsold them (it doesn't matter who bought it), but we know that's not true. Sony and MS are now copying Nintendo with their move and kinect. Nintendo innovates, everyone else follows.

  • @donzaloog1400 No, the Xbox 360 isn't a failure by definition because it's in second place, not last. The only console that can be deemed a failure is the PS3 due to Sony's constant poor decisions, and none of them really failed because all of them were commercial successes that turned major profits for them. This wasn't the case with the Gamecube and many people thought that Nintendo would drop out of the console race with it. Also, they didn't innovate with the GC at all.

  • @PsychoJosh I'm enjoying this conversation with you. Please don't ruin it with insults. We can make our points without them. I agree the Gamecube wasn't innovative, but it was very good console with a library of games millions of people love. It's controller was the best of that generation, imo. I have one and if it wwan't broken and I had no way of repairing it I would still be playing it right now. I also have access to a PS2 and Xbox so I'm not making a one sided argument here.

  • @donzaloog1400 The Gamecube was a bad console and the library of the PS2 outshined it in every way. I think the PS2 also had the best controller of that generation, it felt solid and perfectly symmetrical and didn't feel like a child's toy like the Gamecube controller did. I think the PlayStation controller is a work of art. I have a Gamecube controller right here; it looks ugly and ridiculous in addition to having unintuitive button placement.compared to the PS controller.

  • @PsychoJosh That's your opinion. I like it alot. And alot of people still use it to this day. The PS controller is good but they've been using the same one for 3 consoles now. Xbox controller is heavy. All modern day controllers basically follow the same formula started by the SNES.

  • @donzaloog1400 Okay you keep saying things like "a lot of people use it", or "so many people like it". These are entirely meaningless and vague terms, so stop using them to quantify things, they're not helping you. You don't even know if the things you're saying are true or not, you are simply making vague generalizations about audiences, saying that everyone who uses this controller MUST like it or love it or they all use it to this day or what have you. That's patently false.

  • @PsychoJosh Damn, you reply quickly, lol. So people will buy a console, hate the controller, but still keep the console? That doesn't make sense. 21 million units shipped. I think it's fair to say people like it.

  • @donzaloog1400 Um, of course they'll keep the console, they already bought it and are now stuck with it, why would they resell it? They'd just get ripped off. I'm one of the people who bought a Gamecube, I don't particularly like it. I preferred my Xbox. 21 million units? That's rather dismal, the PS1 and 2 both managed to break 100 million. Plus, the Xbox managed to sell 24 million in North America alone. I'd say a lot more people here like the Xbox over the GC.

  • @PsychoJosh Yeah, Americans do like the XBox over the Gamecube. And coming back to the point you made against Nintendo earlier that only elderly couples and soccer moms bought it, the PS@ initially sold so well because it was a cheap DVD player, same thing with the PS3 , it was a cheap Blu Ray player. Some people bought it just for that, and realised later "Oh, It plays games too" So like I said it doesn't matter why they bought it, it was bought, record sales for Sony.

  • @donzaloog1400 Okay, so explain why the PS1 also broke 150 million units despite not being able to do much apart from play games and music CDs? Since there were vastly cheaper and portable CD players on the market at that time I doubt that fact alone contributed much to its success. PS3 didn't get anywhere near the kinds of numbers that its predecessors got, so that's proof that the audience from the previous console generation doesn't necessarily migrate into the next.

  • @PsychoJosh You're absolutely right that there is no guarantee that the audience will migrate to a new console. PSOne sold well because it fresh, new and very popular. By not using cartridges, it eliminated the classic "having to blow into the cartridge to get it work problem". CDs are cheaper to develop and had more capabilities than cartridges, even though N64 was more powerful. It was also hackable (as are most CD based consoles), allowing for "burned" games to be used with modification.

  • @PsychoJosh I'm yet to read a single valid point you have made that outweighs the fact that someone else might enjoy something that you don't. So actually, your ranting holds no merit whatsoever. Quoting sales figures is irrelevent. Just because a band doesn't get into the top 100, doesn't make them a shit band. Your argument is completely subjective. Have an opinion by all means, but don't show hostility towards people who don't share your opinion. There are millions that don't

  • @donzaloog1400 Now it remains to be seen if the Wii U will sell well but the odds are stacked against that being the case. As I mentioned earlier the Wii primarily sold due to its appeal to non-gamers like elderly couples and soccer moms, who thought they were doing "exercise" by mindlessly waggling their arms around in Wii sports. This will be an extremely tough sell to those people who are barely interested in video games at all, let alone better graphics and processing power.

  • @PsychoJosh No doubt it will be more expensive. But I think it was a stratergy to release a relatively underpowered system (Wii). They experimented with the motion controls and it was major success. Now they will take the results of that rest and add it on to a machine with the power to deliver the graphical capabilites the Wii couldn't. I've never seen anything like that (Wii U) on a console. They are definitely breaking new ground here, if you can't see that you're short sighted

  • @donzaloog1400 I don't really see how they're breaking new ground, this really doesn't seem like it adds much to games. It just seems like Nintendo is creating solutions for "problems" that don't actually exist, like reducing the HUD on first-person shooters or creating a way for people to switch weapons in adventure games without pausing (even though they already have that feature). Many of this system's features are unnecessary and seem to just add a lot of physical clutter.

  • @PsychoJosh Once again, that's your opinion and I don't agree. A lot of the developers are excited about the new opportunities the tablet controller opens up. Vigil games love it, EA and a whole lot of others. Also remember, we haven't seen any actual gameplay footage from the Wii U yet. It's all been tech demos. After E3, I think you'll change your tune.

  • @donzaloog1400 No, I don't think I will change my tune. EA and Ubisoft are corporate greedbuckets so they'll easily jump at any chance to shoehorn a gimmick into a game. Vigil Games is a developer that love to blatantly rip off Zelda so of course they're going to unscrupulously steal the idea from this tech demo and shove it into their game. I just see a flashy gimmick, completely unnecessary just like motion controls were.

  • @PsychoJosh They do make great games though. Sure some misses, but they do deliver some good games too. With EA they have access to big sports franchises again. Nintendo is aiming to recapture the so called "hardcore" gaming audience and I think they stand a good chance with this new console. We'll just have to wait and see.

  • @donzaloog1400 EA and Ubisoft are mostly reviled by gamers who know them, due to their draconian use of DRM and their incredibly unfair treatment of their customers. So no, EA and Ubisoft being excited for the Wii U isn't at all a compelling reason to buy this system especially now that most people who are interested in their sports games own one of the other systems and are committed to it thanks to the online networks, which ensures that they'll stick to their respective system.

  • @PsychoJosh We'll have to wait and see. Maybe some of them are just waiting for a Nintendo console to have the same graphical and online capabilities of PS and XBox. So now they can have that as well as classic Nintendo franchises. Nintendo is hard at work on their online system, getting help and feedback from 3rd party devs, if they succeed that could bring some people back home to Ninty.

  • @donzaloog1400 No, I can safely tell you that no one on Xbox Live is really anticipating Nintendo's online offerings. Even Sony struggles delivering an online experience that's consistently as smooth as XBL, and they've been at this for years now; Nintendo has even less experience in this regard and have demonstrated a reluctance to dabble in online infrastructure, showing that they don't understand or really want to know how such a thing works.

  • @PsychoJosh You can't speak for everybody. Like I said we'll have to wait and see. Don't underestimate Nintendo. And is it any surprise that the makers of the Windows OS would have the best online system? Seems like a no brainer to me.

  • @donzaloog1400 See, it's not just about HAVING online capabilities, it's about having online capabilities that don't suck. The Wii has online capabilities through friend codes, and it's terrible. No one wants to bother with it. Plus kids want to play online with their friends, who are playing online with their 360s and PS3s. So moving forward it's likely that they'll stick with those services because they already have accounts for them and are familiar with them.

  • @PsychoJosh True. Like I said Nintendo will have to come correct. I think there are a lot of people clamouring for Nintendo to have an online system akin to XBL. If they do, I can see alot of people coming back to Ninty. There is also Ghost Recon coming to Wii u. That's bound to have some online functions.

  • @donzaloog1400 No, I don't think so. Kids who play COD are pretty set in their ways and wouldn't want to go back to playing Zelda because the majority of them think that the Wii is "gay". The call of competitive online multiplayer is far more compelling to them than Nintendo's antiquated franchises that haven't changed their formula for decades. In the majority of multi-platform online games, the preferred version is almost always the 360 version because it has the best service.

  • @PsychoJosh That's all subject to change, my friend. Antiquated franchises? It's much harder to keep people interested in a franchise over the course of 25 years, than it is to release a new one every year. The storyline of Nintendo's franchises may stay relatively the same but so do all long running franchises. Gameplay is what's important. Ocaina is different from Link to the past, Skyward Sword is different than Ocarina. Mario 64 is different than Mario world, Galaxy is different to Mario 64.

  • @donzaloog1400 "Gameplay is what's important"... yes, this is obvious, I don't know why you'd bother to point out such a thing. Many people on Xbox Live have become disillusioned with the gameplay that Nintendo provides and are looking for games with more substance to them; more content, more action, more story depth, things to do, puzzles to solve. Nintendo doesn't deliver intense action combat games like Bayonetta and MVC3, or immersive RPGs like Mass Effect and Skyrim.

  • @donzaloog1400 Plus there's the issue of Nintendo's demographic possibly being a mismatch for developers and their games. Nintendo has kept this image of a family oriented company that caters primarily to smaller children and non-gamers. If they can't or don't do anything to dispel that image then "hardcore" developers will abandon them once again in favor of the other consoles that welcome adult-oriented games, and already have gamers in the 18-35 demographic.

  • @PsychoJosh Nintendo can do both. Remember Eternal Darkness? Resident Evil 4? Nintendo is more than willing to allow adult themed games on the console. The developers just have to take the initiative to make them. Ninja Gaiden 3 has been confirmed for Wii U. There rumours that GTA V is coming to Wii U as well.

  • @PsychoJosh Nintendo is the most hardcore of all the game companies. This classification of hardcore is just hype that the internet trolls are pushing. How could a company who been the leader in the industry since the 80s not be considered hardcore? They live and breath games, the others just have a game division which is part of a much larger corporation. Nintendo took a chance and brought gaming to people who would not normally play them. Whole new generation of gamers born.

  • @donzaloog1400 I don't think you fully understand what "hardcore" actually means. To be fair it is a rather nebulous and ill-defined term but it's generally used to refer to more mature, challenging games that offer many gameplay aspects in terms of competition, depth and scope, and substantially reward dedicated play. Many of the games on the Wii are for casuals and offer minimal challenge; not hardcore. It certainly doesn't refer merely to the amount of time that a game company has existed.

  • @PsychoJosh Hardcore is a useless word anyway. So overused it's lost all meaning. How about just "core" Nintendo is definitely one of the core companies in gaming, certainly the only one still going strong. Their impact on the industry can't be overstated. You seem to only focus on the few things they've done wrong. We literally would not be here if it wasn't for them. The Wii may have alot of casual games, but it has it's share of great games.

  • @donzaloog1400 The only thing Nintendo has really contributed is the current controller design. Most of the things you've said they've contributed are completely trivial and barely get used at all in current games anyways, like rumble and Z-targeting. The industry now focuses majorly on online integration and the more social aspects of gaming in addition to stepping up artistic parts like narrative and gameplay depth. The Wii has a few good games, but they're not good enough.

  • @PsychoJosh Not all games lend themselves well to online play. It doesn't matter if they are barely used anymore. Nintendo innovated it, Sony copied it, and now that function can be found in all of there standard controllers. It's up to the game developers if the want to use those features or not. Point is, it's there.

  • @donzaloog1400 Actually so few games use rumble that Sony and Microsoft are considering cutting the feature entirely from their gamepads to lower manufacturing costs.

  • @PsychoJosh Until they do, my point stands.

  • @PsychoJosh All of that is subject to change, my friend. Open your mind to Nintendo. They're not perfect, nobody is, but they are the best at what they do. If people realise they can get the same (if not better) experience they can get on a Sony/MS console, on a Nintendo console and Nintendo exclusives, they will come flooding back. And I think the Wii U has the potential to do that.

  • It's not as "subject to change" as you think. You don't understand what modern adult gamers want. You don't know what today's games offer that Nintendo simply doesn't provide and have not done so for the past three generations. The only people that really care about Nintendo exclusives are fanboys who are already deeply invested in the Wii anyways thanks to their rose-tinted nostalgia. Sony also has exclusives, and theirs alone are more than enough to satisfy the desires of adult gamers

  • @PsychoJosh Nobody can match 1st party games with Nintendo. That's a fact. Nothing against Sony and MS, but as far as their 1st party games are concerned Nintendo's got them beat. Sony and MS live off the 3rd party support while it's Nintendo's 1st party titles that shine. It looks like the Wii U is on its' way to having the best of both worlds. And nostalgia can only take you so far. Nintendo would never survive on that alone. If the games didn't keep improving, they'll fail.

  • @PsychoJosh None of those games you mention are as good as Nintendo's 1st party games. I'm glad you mentioned Ratchet and clank and LBP. Those 2 prove my earlier point of how 3D platformers are influenced by Mario 64. I didn't say Sony didn't have good first party games, but Nintendo's are more fun. Family fun to be sure, but there's nothing wrong with that.

  • @donzaloog1400 Nintendo's are more fun? That's completely subjective. I personally don't think Nintendo's games are very good, I played through Super Mario Galaxy in its entirety and didn't like it as much as critics said I should. Same with Skyward Sword, that game did not deserve 90s at all. See, I don't let other people influence my opinions. Furthermore, LBP plays absolutely NOTHING like Mario 64 so that's another demonstration of your ignorance regarding current games.

  • In addition, the Wii U will be more expensive as a result of its high processing power. If it truly is capable of rendering games in a way that interests the Crysis team then there is no way it will be affordable. Both of these are crucial facts that give the Wii U an uphill battle. Microsoft is rumored to be unveiling a console that will be relatively inexpensive by comparison, and parents who don't want to spend much on video games for their kids will always go the cheapest..

  • @PsychoJosh You're an argumentative little prick aren't you.

  • @PsychoJosh You need to work on your trolling, disphit. It's really, really terrible.

  • @shredx81 Yeah, every valid point is just "trolling" to moronic little shitheads like yourself. Ho hum, go jump in the retard pile over there and quit wasting my time.

  • navi or tatale should be back the faries should be back

  • @Melinathetwilightfan Yeah i would prefer navi over midna or fi. And the wii u controller has better graphics than wii LETS GO!!!

  • I WANT IT O_______O

  • Does anyone else think that the place Link is fighting gohma looks a little like the temple of time?

  • Navi is back... 1:59

  • i have been waiting for this since spaceworld 2000,.... no wait this looks even better O_o There's no way they will ever fuck up the gameplay in a zelda game, it's been the best in game history for decades. The superb graphics are a true bonus and i guess it will add to the realism of the story. Please nintendo make this story as dark as majora's mask and as sad as link's awakening :D

  • I Sure Hope They Keep These Graphics, As Well As This Scene, This Is Awesome! I Am A Total Zelda Fanatic!

  • I know all zelda games are different but in this one she is not a princess but a godes reborn. An will link parents ever make it into the game not just grandfathers or people he lives with.

  • @100boost This isn't Skyward Sword...

  • Armogohma is back?!?! i hope midna is too..

  • Kids like MrKevinownsU irritates me so much... Know nothing about games and consoles.. Games aren't just about the graphics, something nintendo have clearly proved! I like games like CoD and battlefield myself, but it's not as good as zelda game for instance! 1991 was the best year to be born, 'cause we've been through alot of the gaming history^^ Im tired right now, so im stopping writing now, i've could've kept on forever, talking about why nintendo is the supperior of everything in gaming

  • @Mongisfjes One question. Do you remember the SNES-CD? If you did, you'd understand why people who know the company's history can't stand Nintendo. Nintendo screwed Sony over... and in their greed created their own competition.

  • @itzjaimetime

sorry to break the news to you. but the way the zelda series works, i doubt you'll ever see midna again.

  • Well...what are Skulltulas? These guys are dumbasses.

  • This demo looks awesome even on the controller!

  • Isn't that the Twilight Princess logo in the beginning? Maybe a sequel to Twilight Princess?

  • @AlexD907 what do you mean twilight princess logo? the triforce?? thats been in every game

  • @AlexD907 Zelda games are all connected prequel or sequel they all have similar or the same symbols. Also the triforce and goddess symbols are in every game.

  • They should release this somewhere near the fall, AT LEAST. They are expecting a spring release which makes no sense. At least release it over the summer where people will most likely buy it..

  • @bphussar Considering it's being shown in its 'final form' at E3. I think a fall release should be more than expected.

  • okey this guy is kinda dumb =S ...come on disco spider? so is that called hardcore now? boring speak ...

  • WTF have they never played a zelda game before? first time there is a spider? in a Nintendo game?

  • @Mcreator83 these guys clearly have no idea what they have in their hands :/

  • I am glad to see Nintendo will finally add the spider disco when LoZ becomes HD.

  • this graphics look awesome btw.

  • finished skyward sword. they really need to make another zelda game. i love zelda and zelink romance. zelda cant end yet. hehe :3
