@taylorkate125 And what in particular has your comment to do with Truffaut's work? Wait - nothing! lol Seriously, this is youtube and this is just a very little excerpt from this movie. Those two people above expressed how touched they were by this one scene, and this is what Truffaut's movies are for. Food for thought and reflecting real life and real emotions. It doesn´t takean entire intellectual essay to see this scene is wonderful.
Often in American films and TV children are fed sarcastic lines of script that reflect the cynical scriptwriters of Hollywood more than actual childhood expressions.
thank you so much for this... i'm madly in love for this movie. what i like the most from this scene are the children's faces. they look so lovely and amazed...
We could keep it as the last sample of what we used to call Cinema. Amazing scene...

I see the top two comments have nothing to do with the content of this amazing film.
This just reinforces the fact that the majority of American audiences are like children.

Jean-Pierre Léaud delivers his great lines so well in this movie. Antoine Doinel is doubtlessly one of the most endearing character in french cinema.
He doesn't stop being funny with time, as well as being very moving sometimes. Watch Stolen Kisses (1968) and Bed and Board (1970) for instance!

Wonderful scene. Children being children.
Often in American films and TV children are fed sarcastic lines of script that reflect the cynical scriptwriters of Hollywood more than actual childhood expressions.

What's amazing about the scene is, the kids are so absorbed by the puppet show...they don't notice the camera!

Best movie in the world. All French kids are well dressed.

So untrue about the "well-dressed" part... You should come to my country more often and you'll see that's untrue... Especially my bro...lol ;-)

Little kids don't dress themselves!

Well this was also filmed a long time ago! People in general dressed better for everyday things, back then.
