Those two people above expressed how touched they were by this one scene, and this is what Truffaut's movies are for. Food for thought and reflecting real life and real emotions. It doesn´t takean entire intellectual essay to see this scene is wonderful.

Jean-Pierre Léaud delivers his great lines so well in this movie. Antoine Doinel is doubtlessly one of the most endearing character in french cinema.

He doesn't stop being funny with time, as well as being very moving sometimes. Watch Stolen Kisses (1968) and Bed and Board (1970) for instance!
