I'm not a smoker. I've smoked many times and each time it repulses me. With that said. I don't think these are being marketed to kids. Why can't candy flavored tobacco be appealing to adults? I think the truth people are just coming up with new things. like the cigarette ads. They're a company with a product. Of course they're going to advertise.

I don't know which is worse. Commercials telling you to do things, or commercials telling you not to do things. Smoking a cigarette won't kill you, kids. Smoking 10 packs a day just might. I agree with mcgheedaniella, even among all 'the truth' commercials, this one bothered me the most. Nerofiend you're a moron. The reason they don't want people making sweet cancer sticks is because while you are stupid enough to decide to smoke, they don't want the added temptation for children who aren't mature enough to make the decision to have a few minutes of pleasure for a possible lifetime of suffering later. Usually I'm not a 'think of the children' type, but with this stuff I agree.

The "truth" line of commercials are essentially calling consumers retarded, impying that the tobacco companies' strategies are so clever that they dupe millions of people. They admit that candy flavored cigarettes are gone from the market, and then complain that smokeless tobacco products are flavored. Showing patients with a breathing tube or oxygen mask is misleading becaue smoke-free alternatives don't cause lung disease. Switching from smoking to a smoke-free product also reduces risks of cardiovascular disease and cancer by up to 99%.

Im glad i dont smoke, it would get in the way of my drinking cinnamon schnapps, while im chowing down on my deep fried McCdonalds fake chicken nuggets and overly sweetened apple pie served in a cardboard box while i work at my job writing commercials to push even more of the same glorious junk onto the public.
