Dennis Kucinich's Health Care plan, eliminate Freedom of Choice and competition. And replace it with one Health Care program that americans have no choice but to pay for and take.
Let's hope so because if it ever passes, it will be the *only* health care policy... so much for that "liberal" love of freedom and competition.
Burdening the productive with the costs of the lifestyle choices of the unproductive doesn't sound too freedom-loving either. If you don't like the cost of health care, get your Democratic buddies to stop making it so hard for doctors to make money without becoming pillpushing pimps and see all the health care options you get.
Dennis Kucinich is one of only 2 men on the stage here who would get my vote. The other being Gravel, of course. Unfortunately, Democrats fell right in line behind Obama and Hilary, like the sheeple that they are, these worthless candidates with no real promise or ability to get real change made. This is a disgrace! We're gonna have another pathetic 04on our hands with 2 ridiculous, unqualified candidates. Either we need to have a multiparty system or give 3rd parties more of a chance.
For people wondering how a universal health care would be funded, remember Kucinich only supports a non-profit health care plan.
Also to name a couple sources of funding, think about the money that we will save when we get out of Iraq.
Or how about when marijuana is legalized? Herbs are easy and cheap to grow when legal (E.g. 1 pound of chamomile or lavender flowers is only $15!). Legalize marijuana and place a heavy tax so the price is about the same as what people pay for it now.
Actually that's a great idea, the marijuana tax I mean.
Turn a money-drain, spending $60 billion a year to arrest drug-users, into a money-gain, yearly tax revenue of $75 billion.
And we can prevent atleast SOME of those 500,000 cigarette-related deaths, and massive medical costs, if say half of them switch to marijuana. Marijuana has NEVER KILLED anyone.
I totally agree, legalize marijuana and tax it. Maybe not to make it cost as much as it does now, but I think that is a great idea. It will definitely save money in law enforcement, and originally making it illegal was unconstitutional in the first place.
That is obviously SO wrong, it is still about inhaling smoke particles and burning chemicals (maybe less nasty than Marlboro's, but the concept is the same). I believe you're refering to Marijuana as never having killed people on Over Dose. Nicotine is a poison, but I'd like to see people OD on smoking it tho...
Um....do your research, it WILL include Military vets and American indians. it will cover everyone. again, DO YOUR RESEARCH. anyway it is the first bold step, and these other reps are puppets for insurance companies...Kucinich is RIGHT he is the only for a not-for-profit system, the only one against the corrupt insurance companies!
agree with you. just not, in all fairness, that gravel (you could see him with his hand up) also supports a single-payer system. kucinich knows more about it though.
I like Dennis Kucinich, but HR676 is not the answer. It will repeal the 2001 tax cut, add new taxes to middle income families and create a new government bureaucracy. It will NOT include Military Vets or American Indians, but WILL include illegal aliens.
It's the sad reality. When will America come to the realisation that the health care systems in Australia, Britain, France and Canada are the solution to their problem of more than 40 million Americans not having health insurance.

That is so true! I actually don't know any tobacco users who wouldn't gladly make the switch if it were legal.
