  • There are many interpretations of this , many that I love - John Coltrane, Ray Charles, Grant Green to name a few. But I must admit this is the one that touches my heart the most. There is a truth in Frank Sinatra's voice that no one can match.

  • @MsRockett88 He was to record this again later, but this is my favorite version.

  • one of the best F S DA voice for ever

  • One of the Best!!!

  • I'm a Nancy. ^_^

  • One of my favorite Frank Sinatra songs and one of his most beautiful songs that I never get tired of listening to. He recorded this song again in the 50's - mentioning Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn. I love hearing this song so much. Thank you so much for posting it.

  • Thanks for posting this beautiful song!!!! I love my name. I was named after my great grandma from the south.

  • Awww...how sweet, was this for his daughter when she was little? Adorable!

  • Beautiful, Sweet, Enchanting song indeed.

However the line "Keep Betty Grable, Lamour and Turner" is quote ironic, seeing as while married to Nancy Barabto (the mother of Nancy and her siblings), Frank had an ongoing affair with Lana Turner.

  • After three boys, my mother and father finally got the gift of a daughter in 1957. She was named after my father's mother (Ignazia in Italian, and Nancy in English). To celebrate my Dad bought this 45 rpm, and played it incessantly. To this day both my sister and I tear up instantly upon hearing this original version.

  • that's how I got my name.....I was born in 1949
