That move at :34 - wow - you see a cut back on one guy all the time - but to fake out 2 guys in a couple of steps - and barely get touched! That is a lot of underwear on the field.
Eric Metcalf is a bad ass. He made being a Cleveland Browns fan in the 80s a whole lotta fun. Well him, Slaughter, Kosar, Dixon, Mack, Newsome, Michael Dean, Matthews, Minnifield, McNeill, and uhh... fine, Byner too. Thanks for the good times! Woof!!!
One of my favorite players, along with Kevin Mack, Michael Jackson, Clay Matthews, Frank Minnefield, Everson Walls, Eric Turner, Michael Dean Perry, & James A. Jones just to name a few.
Cowboy fan right here...but I was always a fan of Metcalf damn those were the real football days..now theirs nothing but a bunch of over paid cry babies!..I miss football from the 90's
One of the prettiest runners ever. He looked like a deer out there. He should've scored twice as much as he did in Cleveland, seeing as how they always struggled to come up with ideas on just how to get him the football besides handing it to him up the middle.
Brian Mitchell is the all-time leader, so no Metcalf was not the best. Returning is the one position where having the highest numbers really is the determination of who the best is.
@84slaughter Josh Cribbs is now the greatest returner of all time. But it's cool to see that the Browns have two of the greatest returners of all time.
Yea ill just agree to disagree... Metcalfe was a weapon in the passung and running game hile the browns fail to utilize Cribbs in the way that the jets utilize brad smith
@Smo0ochMyGooch ...by versitile, I meant that Cribbs also plays both sides of special teams. You are correct about how the Browns have used him in other ways. Right now I'm picturing Cribbs and Seneca Wallace in the same backfield.
BTW: I was at the Game where he beat the Steelers with two big returns. Beautiful to watch.
Like others - thanks for posting this. I have wanted to see that Monday Night move for a long time; one of the best moves I have ever seen. Too bad he was used as "Metcalf up the middle".
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I have been waiting years to see some of these Metcalf highlights. So much God given ability so many awesome moves. So many more possible if old bill in New England would have used him better. AWESOME STUFF. GIVE ME MORE!

Metcalf was something special! I usually love the big guys who pound it in, but you have to love the agile runners as well.

He's my all-time favorite. If anyone has film of his four touchdown game against the Raiders, I'd love to see it.

@84slaughter Ginn is better at returning than Hester....being faster makes up for everything on the return.
