  • That move at :34 - wow - you see a cut back on one guy all the time - but to fake out 2 guys in a couple of steps - and barely get touched! That is a lot of underwear on the field.

  • That "wiggle and jiggle" at :34 is what i came looking for. What a sick, sick move.

  • Man I miss him!

  • I see this dude everyday at my track practice...i just found this out.. simply amazing

  • @passionatelyrics

He still has a pretty good fanbase in Cleveland.

  • He put the wiggle and jiggle on it.

  • "What a set of moves on this guy"!

  • Metcalf was something special! I usually love the big guys who pound it in, but you have to love the agile runners as well.

  • Eric Metcalf is a bad ass. He made being a Cleveland Browns fan in the 80s a whole lotta fun. Well him, Slaughter, Kosar, Dixon, Mack, Newsome, Michael Dean, Matthews, Minnifield, McNeill, and uhh... fine, Byner too. Thanks for the good times! Woof!!!

  • @rikky383

    Amen brother. Amen!

  • One of my favorite players, along with Kevin Mack, Michael Jackson, Clay Matthews, Frank Minnefield, Everson Walls, Eric Turner, Michael Dean Perry, & James A. Jones just to name a few.

Wow! Old school...those were the days!

  • My favorite player right there!...He can do it all and was a human highlight when he had the rock...HOF needs to reconize this great player...

  • this is probably how everyone thought reggie bush would turn out

  • That touchdown against the Bengals was just pure ballet!! He made two defenders look plain foolish!!

  • Boy do I miss Nev.

"It's pandemonium at Cleveland Municipal Stadium"!

  • Those moves he put on The Bungles were just sick!

  • 0:34 is nasty. The first defender just crumbled.

  • Cowboy fan right here...but I was always a fan of Metcalf damn those were the real football days..now theirs nothing but a bunch of over paid cry babies!..I miss football from the 90's

  • He's my all-time favorite. If anyone has film of his four touchdown game against the Raiders, I'd love to see it.

  • Search Youtube for "1992 Browns at Raiders" I might do a highlight clip later.

  • @XoBrunetteMSx87 look for al bundys td game it may be in the sams genre

  • Cats forgot about him. He is still the all time best return man ever.

  • Now that's what I called a juke.

  • Thanks for posting, excellent vid & memories. Maybe this year we'll at least make the playoffs.

  • Great Vid! eric is a Beast!

  • GO BROWNS

  • I did add another highlight vid from 89. Check my profile.

  • One of the prettiest runners ever. He looked like a deer out there. He should've scored twice as much as he did in Cleveland, seeing as how they always struggled to come up with ideas on just how to get him the football besides handing it to him up the middle.

  • WOW!!! josh cribbs has alot of work to do!!

  • Imagine both him and Eric Metcalf in the flash formation?

  • oh i hear ya. thats a touchdown every single time. but i hope josh cribbs can be an eric metcalf 1 day

  • Eric Metcalf is the greatest returner of all time.

    hester couldn't touch him.

mel gray is a close second.

    great video.

    i

  • @84slaughter

Brian Mitchell is the all-time leader, so no Metcalf was not the best. Returning is the one position where having the highest numbers really is the determination of who the best is.

  • @84slaughter Josh Cribbs is now the greatest returner of all time. But it's cool to see that the Browns have two of the greatest returners of all time.

  • @jamdawg

Uhh naw man Eric is way faster and quicker than Cribbs... Even with todays athletes Metcalf wreaks shit!

  • @Smo0ochMyGooch Metcalf was faster, but Cribbs is more versitle.

  • @jamdawg

Yea ill just agree to disagree... Metcalfe was a weapon in the passung and running game hile the browns fail to utilize Cribbs in the way that the jets utilize brad smith

  • @Smo0ochMyGooch ...by versitile, I meant that Cribbs also plays both sides of special teams. You are correct about how the Browns have used him in other ways. Right now I'm picturing Cribbs and Seneca Wallace in the same backfield.

BTW: I was at the Game where he beat the Steelers with two big returns. Beautiful to watch.

  • @84slaughter Ginn is better at returning than Hester....being faster makes up for everything on the return.

  • Thanks for posting this; I have wanted to see it for a long time. One of the best move I ever saw.

  • Like others - thanks for posting this. I have wanted to see that Monday Night move for a long time; one of the best moves I have ever seen. Too bad he was used as "Metcalf up the middle".

  • ha they still use 'metcalf up the middle' maybe mangini will lose that page of play book

  • yes, he was a classic and that move he pulled on mnf still sticks in my mind!

  • Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I have been waiting years to see some of these Metcalf highlights. So much God given ability so many awesome moves. So many more possible if old bill in New England would have used him better. AWESOME STUFF. GIVE ME MORE!

  • Thanks for posting!!! The MNF move against the Bengals was his best...in my opinion.....though he had so many great ones.

  • nuff respect due - much appreciated

  • houston oiler killer=eric metcalf

  • that was quick..
