  • Sephiroth is using super nova?

Take a shit, make a sandwich, viciously masterbate, juggle 3 infants and you'll still be back before its done.

  • So the people who say 'Sephiroth never destroyed a planet like some other villains,' are technically false, he destroys 4 planets!

  • So that is why Pluto isn't a planet anymore

  • i kept turning off the game every time i saw this cause i was all; "Fuck, it has math? There's no way I'm surviving this, gotta try again." needless to say it was a long time til i learn that this attack cannot kill you.

  • Would you believe it, I found something even more destructive.

    /watch?v=qGSt2FsJOdI&translated=1

This blows Supernova out of the universe.

  • Saturn. Nobody fucks with Saturn!

  • My god. I've seen some retarded things on Youtube, but this just takes the biscuit.

  • you see in the beggining how everything faded... that was sharingan xD

  • @xlDaRkNeZz Lol Wrrd.

    #Unicorn Swag

  • I never got why there was a complex mathmatical equation at the beginning of the spell. What does math have to do with a supernova?

  • @TheWaynelds I remember reading that they are formulas used by astrophysicists to estimate how comets or something are going to move

basically, it's using math/physics and magic together to cause the attack

  • Sure takes it to absurd levels when a star-system destroying spell doesn't kill the actual targets of the attack! Overly-long animation... or overly-long gag?

  • I wonder how Sephiroth felt after blowing up the outer planets, inducing the sun to go nova, which in turns destroys the inner planets(except Earth), have said nova get right in the faces of the heroes, cause said nova to explode. . .AND DOESN'T KILL ANY OF THEM!

  • Isn't Supernova a summon? Sephiroth disappears when he uses it and that happens with a summon.

  • Now i know why They called this game Final Fantasy

  • Comment removed

  • I still remember the first time I fought Safer Sephiroth and when he first used Super Nova. I had heard about it before hand and I was like 'Holy shit, this is it!"

  • You know some serious shit is about to go down when all those formulas and equations come up on the screen.

  • Wow, he just blew up the entire Solar System, but wasn't able to kill 3 people?

    That's just sad.

  • @Alf1XYZ You no know the power of Cloud. Ha ha ha....

The Sith can not match Sephiroth's powers! A Solar System, "That is NOTHING!.... UNIVERSES FACE MY ULTIMATE POWER.....DIE!"

    ;)

  • I don't get it: HE BLEW UP THE SUN!! Why isn't that an instant game over?

  • @SeaBlitzPaladin24 You go read. Now.. Cloud verses 1 to 1,000,000

"Ha ha ha ha.. You quest will be the end of you...!"

  • the best part was when the music intensified just as it hit the earth

  • How I reasoned this to myself is their Materia attacks happened in an alternate existence involving the lifestream. More in the characters collective consciousness than the real world. You see it when Cloud uses materia to summon Eidolons. They "disappear" from the scene then in comes Neo Bahamut shooting a hole through the center of the Earth and dropping Meteors large enough to case an extinction of all life. Just sucks your normal attack does more damage than a summoned creature. That sucked.

  • What about Neptune, Uranus, and Mars?

  • @iceyy981 They did the smart thing....they dodged, LOL

  • That is just...

    evil

  • @XxWingedGuardianxX

The planets themselves don't care; and they're the ones getting destroyed in the glorious attack!!!

  • The planets just HAPPENED to be aligned properly.

  • I learned my math from Sephiroth.

  • Its obvious that the solar system only had 625567509374 health, and Sephiroth just killed it. Damage to you was just a bonus

  • Isn't the point of this battle to stop Sephy from destroying the Earth? And if he does this, haven't you kinda failed at that?

And he can do this *multiple times*.

Fucking video game logic, how does it work?

  • I love how Earth isn't even named. Because you KNOW shit is gonna get messed up.

  • jupiter gets turned into donut

  • it's weird how cloud, cid, and toad Red XIII were just standing there the whole time

  • my cloud's normal attack can do more damage than that....

  • Cloud:"Why is he just hovering there?"

    RedXIII:"Lets attack!"

Cid: "Fuck it's getting ho-OH GOD!!!!"

  • Lol you were like "Alright I'm about to summon knight's of the rou-. OH SHIT I BETTER HEAL!"

  • My reaction to this after dieng to Bizzaro Seph 20 times and finally reaching Safer " What?, WHAT? WHAT? WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK OH MY GOD HOLY FUCKINNNG SHIT HOLY FUCKING SHIT AHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • 1:56 Such happy music to die to :D

  • what music is in this battle

  • this what happens when I jizz myself!>?

  • Comment removed

  • it destroys numerous planets, but doesn't kill 3 humans. classic video game logic

  • @norulzdotpt Lets also not forget that this game isn't set on earth as the sequence seems to depict, or that any of the distances travelled by sephitoths blast could ever be completed in less than a few million light years and would have needed to have been cast long in advance of sephiroth and the games events to arrive in time to cause a meagre 6300 damage to party.

Or the fact that it is often cast 2-3 times during battle killing the same planets repeatedly ad nauseum.

    [/logic]

  • @digitised lol well if we're going the extra mile, sephiroth doesn't get hurt from a galaxy explosion or the radiation it would cause but you can kill him by throwing money at him

  • does this actualy happen in the game?

  • @megagonet

    Yes.

You could say it's "Sephiroth's Ultimate Limit" attack.

  • I've always wondered how Sephiroth is able to cast this spell 2 times.

  • lol at that closeness it would cease to be round and would just be a giant wall... but hey.. a comet just went into the center of the milky way, when we're in one of the outer arms, and was only big enough to go through the rings of Saturn, YET it destroyed Jupiter... only to make the Sun go supernova... who's counting? x3 Kidding.. love the game.. this cut scene is just absolutely hilarious....

  • sephiroth.... you need to go back to basic geometry

  • the most wtf move in history

  • lol it missed mars

  • That really should have been skippable.

  • at least pluto was still a planet

  • Chuck norris called a supernova and didnt die whoa

  • @Mursamune9999,Saturn Wasn't Hit

  • Nice formula, now I can create the 2012 everyone's been waiting for.

  • EVREY planet was destroide

  • @Mursamune9999 INCORRECT. Mars was still left ._____.

  • Yep.....and to think that in the entire game everyone was worried because a meteor....yeah...FF VII has a "flawless" story line ¬¬

  • this attack works as a omega demi...leaves you on critical no matter how much HP you have and causes 5 random status aliiments....it is a decent amount of damage and ONE HELL OF ANIMATION!

  • when I first saw this I thought he was attacking me with math/science equations/formula's.

  • @EclipseHedgehog He was! How do you think nuclear weapons were made? With math and science!

  • Welp, may as well go walk the dog, maybe go grab a pizza too while I'm at it.

  • In saturn he only obliterates the rings not the planet itself. And to add to that, I love how he can destroy the same planets twice.

  • @Yasuhikou Um...I think he did divide by 0...

  • Cloud, Sid, and Red: Oh look, a gigantic engulfing explosion of solar capacity. Cool! Lets stand here and watch.

  • I saw a video clip of the Supernova before ever playing FF7, and was dying to know how the story went after Sephiroth blew up the entire solar system during the final battle.

...Then I played the game and was sad that it's just an illusion and has noting to do with the story :-\

  • I like to think this attack is just an illusion. How could he destroy the entire solar system when he wants to rule the planet where he is?

  • Only Sephiroth can destroy the solar system....SEVERAL TIMES!

  • I didn't see him use supernova because at the very beginning of the battle, i just used Knight's Of The Round, and after it finished, he died. True story.

  • @chcoman123 Yeah, if you have Knights of the round all the bosses (but Weapons) are very easy to defeat.

  • THAT FOOL he tried to divide by 0 D:

  • Me: Hey Sephiroth!

    Sephiroth: What?

Me: You missed Mars, Neptune and Uranus :D

  • Pluto: "NO WAIT SEPH, I'M NOT A PLANET ANYMO-"

    *gets ker-sploded*

  • Now this is one prime reason I prefer SMT over FF.

FF boss superpowered attacks are ridiculously over the top, and they don't live up to what their animations would show. Compare this to, say, Harihara's Reincarnate, Satan's Retribution, Brahman's Brahma Sutra, or Lucifer's Root of Evil. All of them look threatening without being ridiculous, and ARE threatening.

  • @ClownVonDavid super powered attacks are half the fun of turn based battles, besides its a game, theres no fun in it being realistic

  • @MrDeathnotefan98

Yes, but this is over the line. The best super-powered animations aren't so ridiculously over the top. This just breaks suspension of disbelief.

  • @ClownVonDavid dont get me wrong, i know its ridiculous but at the same time i just love it lol, and out of the whole FF series supernovas really the only one thats this over the top, and it isnt even the strongest one, when theoretically it should be lol

  • @ClownVonDavid to counter the fact it destroys the solar system and he can do it multiple times, i just think of it as apart of the spell, much like the summon environments that are created when you fight summons in crisis core

  • @MrDeathnotefan98

Oh, well, guess it's a matter of taste. But I personally like simple animations more.

Put this in the video ID in the URL

    TbEG95mHFK4

At about 1:24 you'll see one of the boss's powerful attacks. The animation's simple, but it looks better precisely because of that.

  • this is so stupid it hurts

  • The funniest thing you can do douring tis attack, is at 1:52 to hold down the run buttons.

  • oh god imagine that in HD

  • Thank god he didn't hurt Uranus.

  • @DoctorMonch Squeenix wouldnt want to make a butthurt out of a player

  • @DoctorMonch Myanus is very thankful.

  • hahahahah holy shit

  • >Destroy entire solar system

    >do it again

    Oh, Japan.

  • This is the ultimate f**king game made of all time..

  • Lol, the ultimate "made you look" limit break.

  • Gahhh, I hated math. Needless to say, I shit myself when I first saw the equations in the background.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh look, he's casting that again. Better run to the bathroom...

  • I remember first playing this game then going like "WTF?!" o.o Then I realized that it doesn't kill you and he does this move multiple times and it just became more tedious than epic.

  • @psychoburgundy12 That's because Supernova is an illusion.

  • This attack stops being epic once you find out it's an illusion. If Sephiroth could have really done a Supernova he wouldn't need the Black Materia to summon Meteor.

  • Nothing a little cure spell can't fix.

  • I don't remember, did Safer Sephiroth ever unite with the Lifestream? because if he did not, I don't want to see how strong he really would of been afterwards

  • The worst part?

    He can do this twice.

  • Poor Pluto, un-planeted just too late to avoid Sephiroth's Super Nova.

  • Most epic boss battle ever.

  • Comment removed

  • Pretty cool limit. I'm pretty sure I could win this fight by only attacking with counter though.

  • OMG this is the whole fucking apocalipse!

By the way, you know that this september 11 2011, a very big comet will be passing by very very close to earth?

  • @AlitaAngel wrong dec. 21 2012 :P

  • 1 + 1= 3? SQUEEE !!!

  • Wall

  • This dude isn't shit lol... I killed him with two summons of the Alexander guardian or what ever the guardian that does the "Night of the round table" attack where all the knights attack... Of course it took a lot of money and time to get that summon for the fact I had to raise all my chocobos a certain way so I could get the gold one that walks on water for entrance to a certain cave lol...

  • he wipes out a solar system but it is only the second most destuctive attack i have seen was number one for a long time though then came iris the best summon in the golden sun series it wipes out a freakin galaxy and full y heals all of your party members even the ones in reserve and revives to full heath wile doing massive damage to all enemys it has a better sequence in dark dawn compared to lost age though

  • Holy. Fuck.

  • lets face it. Nothing says you're overdoing an attack like DESTROYING THE ENTIRE SOLAR SYSTEM AND FAILING TO DESTROY YOUR INTENDED TARGET!

  • @MetalKing1417 Game mechanics. It would have been cooler if they just made it a rare attack, but instant k/o.

  • @MetalKing1417 well ... not if you're in level 99 and have ultima weapon, i guess

  • @MetalKing1417

Whats the significance of the sun "destroying" Earth when the game doesn't take place on Earth?

  • @MetalKing1417 lol, what about zodiarks limit from 12? he destroys existence itself...

  • I know why they survived! Sunscreen ftw!!!

  • Whatever. Pluto wasn't a planet anyway.

  • Sure thing! Destroys the largest planet in the solor system, blows up the sun and literally rapes your face of 200000000 degree's of heat and you survive no matter what..

Ok fair enough but why does it turn you into a frog?

  • @bustergaa

Because the power fo this attack is so great that reality itself is compromised.

  • @bustergaa Supernova doesn't turn you into a frog, he has an attack called Pale Horse or something like that which turn you into a frog. You can see Cloud was a frog before the attack began.

  • @bustergaa Red XIII was already s toad before the animation.

  • @bustergaa

jupiter is nothing but a gas giant no solid parts on it

  • ...And after all the drama you survive with yellow health...

Not like a supernova which just destroyed the entire solar system would kill you or anything. >.>

  • it destroyed most of the solar sistem and made the sun turn into a super nova, and yet it coudnt kill 3 squishy humans... sounds legit

  • Φ = WUγ + RUρ + SUγUρ

    W = -SUγΦ

    AU = (GMek^-2)^1/3

    n = Πr^2 Φ = WUγ + RUρ + SUγUρ

    W = -SUγΦ

    AU = (GMek^-2)^1/3

    n = Πr^2

Sephiroth just mathed almost the entire solar system to oblivion. When you can destroy the entire solar system (save for Mars, Uranus and Neptune) just by doing geometric equations, you know you are a complete and utter fucking badass.

  • @PsychoBurgundy6 So thats why we have math...

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone else think it looked like Sephiroth did over 625 billion damage?

  • This only did two hundred attack on me when i first played it...

  • @ZeldaEva Super Nova cannot kill you on account of being gravity magic which in this case hits you for 15/16 of the current HP the charactar has

  • I had to replay this because the first time I didn't quite get the attack. It was way too fast.

  • Went to get a sandwich. Came back. Attack is still not fucking over.

    Rageface.jpg

  • Imagine having to stop this instead of the moon in LoZ Majora's Mask...

  • after all these years of playing video games, this still happens to be the most epic attack i've seen. like nukie500 said, its kinda weird how t can't kill three people after raping the solar system.

  • @saitodono88 :D Yeah!

    raping the solar system... lol

  • When I played for the first time this attack scared me at first but then I started to annoy me,i really wanted a skip button in that moment

    (sorry for the bad english)

  • So let me get this straight, A attack that rapes the solar system and blow up the sun can't kill 3 people?

    WTF!?

  • @nukie5001 i was just thinking that...

  • Comment removed

  • @nukie5001 its because they were singing Many many ass, Everybodies touching ass... correctly!

  • Is it not lucky that he missed your anus, pun intended

  • itll be funny if the blast stopped at the edge of clouds sword so only sephiroth got blown up

  • Well in the meantime imma go get a degree in every course known to man.

  • I have actually managed to take a crap while this attack was going on! I was playing for like two hours while withholding myself and I desperately needed a break! Thanks Seph!!! xD

  • chuck norris taught seph how to do that

  • Well, he still didn't suplex a train!

  • The only unrealistic thing is this can happen more than once... lol

  • and its gone.............and its gone.

that should have been the chorus.

  • best move EVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER

  • goku: for the earth, i have to stop him.. KA....ME....HA....ME....HAAAAAAAAAA

0:49. wait his blast is bigger than mine... NOOOOO. wait, i cld always go to otherworld... again. bye bye world. *sigh* after blast. oh hi king kai.

King kai: goku! WHY THE HELL R U HERE AGAIN. U DIE WAY TO FRICKIN MUCH! GO FIND YOUR OWN DAMN PLANET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    sephiroth: O_O then -_-

  • sephiroth: wait cloud i have to look something up on google.

    cloud: hurry up...

sephiroth: *types in how to create a supernova large enough to destroy the solar system* ok i got it

    Cloud: got what?

    Sephiroth: this... video starts

  • I'd laugh if he missed somehow...

  • THE MOST EPIC MOVE EVER EVER USED

  • obviously proportions are all wrong gravity would be all over the place, etc, I just remember shting myself when I first saw it thinking, hmmm this could be serious

  • These glases do NOTHING!

  • Everything on the planet would die due to the increased heat and radiation if by some miracle the sun expanding to that size and touching them directly didn't kill them >.<

  • ... How could they survive that?

  • And that's why......I'm scared of Maths...

  • Pluto's not a planet anymore :D

  • Holy f***, Sephiroth just did 625,567,509,374 damage to the party!!

    (Trollface.jpg)

Though, that would be a much more appropriate amount of damage considering he just destroyed the solar system in order to attempt killing a handful of people.

  • Wouldn't destroying the sun by default destroy everything else

  • so that what happened to pluto

  • what kind of ff7 is that ?

  • @roe4848 It's Final Fantasy VII.

  • 2:02 When i first saw that at 2:02 i thought it was the actual damage (I know these are three damage counts but i always thought they were only one, this would be INSANE)

  • oh shit...so thats whats going to happen in 2012 =/

  • Oh, stfu. Why don't you write a letter to the creator complaining on the basis that Pluto is not a planet, math equation is missing an irrational square root and the scene is impossible cos it's missing an implosion? Use imagination, you PS3 generation! And it rhymes! :D

  • so Uranus, Neptune, and Mars survived?

  • Comment removed

  • so i guess final fantasy 7 takes place on earth?????? and not gaia??????? or does the solar syatem which contains gaia cooincidentally have a bunch of planets with the same names of the onez in our solar system????????????

    ;)

  • @holytiamat777 To make things even more confusing, FFX's world is apparently in the same galaxy as FFVII's world.

So where the hell did FFX's characters live? On Mars? Going by the hint they left in FFX-2, FFX and FFVII take place on two different planets.

  • Galactud catches that ball and throws him across the universe
