No she's not ! When she had come to the US...we all had requested her to sing tamil songs...I can never forget the look she gave us...And she said she'll sing only alaipaythe, which is carnatic based. We requested Barathiyar songs..she still dissed us !

she has sung many barathiyar songs actually.. but this trend of not taking requests well seems to be common to many artists. I have experienced this with Bombay Jaysashree as well..
