Billie Jean and The Beatles are both related (with both being in the pop genre), and Led Zep is the foundation of hard rock/heavy metal together with Black Sabbath, so that was the premise for band like Metallica; that's true. Still this page and this song here hasn't really got anything to do with those bands, except it being music. So please, take your futile opinions elsewhere - If you don't like it, don't listen to it.
@CorruptZDI Doesn't matter. That wasn't my point. My point was that how can a song that took 20 hours to make be the best song ever? Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Michael Jackson and The Beatles all worked 10 times harder on their songs. Led Zeppelin even used 2 years on a single album.
@Aasmund01 Sometimes the best song of a band was written in a few hours on the tourbus, on the way to a gig, for example Golden Earring with Radar Love. So how much a song takes to make can be almost indifferent to the result of it. Albums which took 2 years might be rubbish, and albums which took 7 weeks might be the best thing. Time is pretty much irrelevant, and then it comes down to personal opinion, as always.
@Aasmund01 Oh yeah and, this is a completely different genre. One guy making techno takes logically less time than 4/5 dudes getting together to make some overproduced material (Black Album, anyone?). You have to put the genre in consideration as well.
