When my father came back from WW2 he could not even turn a screw with a screw driver. I cannot even imagine how he operated these things in the island hopping wars of the south pacific. I recieved his military records from virginia and they state that he trained in washington state for 6 months before going overseas. He mentioned the code talkers often, and one day on guam during a rain storm he got zapped. They offered him the purple heart, but he just laughed.
