Does it hurt to take it out and put back in? Can you play most sports without worry about getting knocked out? I may have to have my eye removed soon due to a trauma right now living with a painful eyeball so if they take it out I am okay with it, just hope I can adjust to the prosthetic, it looks a little bit thick so I am worried about comfort. Thanks.
@ritajeand It doesn't hurt to take out or put in and I haven't had any problems with any sports. I wouldn't suggest boxing or MMA, but other than that everything else should be good.
For eye trauma, most frequently they will leave the eye in and (if it needs some aesthetic help) you can get a different kind of prosthesis called a scleral shell. The thickness of my eye is because there's a small implant inside my eye socket and the fake eye needs to take up the rest of the socket space
looks very authentic in the modeling photos, can't see that the bb damaged any other area surrounding your eye. How long do you wear the prosthetic eye before taking it out, is it comfortable/do you even notice it? how often do you need a replacement, thanks.
Hi, can you show how it looks after you put it back in. It doesn't even look bad at all, does it hurt? Since you were 8 when it happened it probably doesn't really feel noticeable anymore to you. They make prosthetic eyes really natural looking. Thanks for sharing.
@molly122ful my ophthalmologist and my ocularist have done amazing jobs with making my eye look like normal. I'm actually an agency model here in Chicago and the eye hardly plays a part in any of the opportunities I've had. I posted a new link of a taste of my modeling portfolio in the description.

My neighbor shot me with a bb gun when I was 8. I was walking down the road and he shot me from across the street and across a vacant lot.
